Years ago I remember the tragic story of a little league boy who was hit in the chest by a thrown baseball and it killed him instantly. Just a horrible tragedy.

Thats great!!, but its sad that society cant/ wont donate $$ to help the homeless/ or veterans/ or families that have lost loved ones in mass shootings.. JMO

 

Not true. I promise.

 

People seem happy to help people that they believe can’t help themselves. Most people’s perception of homeless is that they are lazy and choose not to do anything about their situation.
Now I’m not say that’s how it is or that’s how I feel. Only that it’s they way people think.
With all that said. I don’t think anyone needs to be shamed into donating their hard earned money. If you want to that’s great. If not that’s fine also.

I'm a welder....I've seen two people killed at work. One (My Friend) died while in a coma. Should the building of bridges, and other infrastructure stop???
Lost a Uncle, and a Brother in a car accident. Should everyone stop driving....Should they stop making cars????

Childhood is our greatest time to receive toys. It means so much to the kiddies. Maybe some of that money can go to my favorite charity, St Judes hospital for children. We paid a visit one time with our donation and they showed us around. Talk about a heartbreak. Worse part was I realized I complain way to much about BS. Kids were AMAZING!!!!!

I was watching that. Boxing was, and is My first Love.

There have been many deaths in boxing. Most resulting in fighters cutting weight to make a fight. It reduces the fluid in the brain.
Boom Boom was never the same fighter after that.
They have also had a few cases of Blunt Cardiac Injury in boxing.

 

Sad **** for sure but life has no chose but to go forward. NOT SAYING THIS TO BE CRASS but there are 8 billion of us right now. Bad **** will happen but life has to move forward.

 

Loved the hoopla during Ali's prime but never got why men would risk future health pounding on each other.

Agreed. It can change ones perspective.

 

I can't say why for every single person, but I did it because I grew up around it. Also because You are (hard to explain) almost free in the ring. Plus it's a awesome challenge just to step in the ring. I never made any money....I realized as an amateur I wouldn't make anything as a pro in both boxing, and kickboxing....I just wasn't good enough.

 

Let's hope it does. If it doesn't that's on them.

No, but, I don't think all the $$ that was raised will go to said charity

I believe unless it actually says all charitable funds go 100% to a specified place....it doesn't have to, but that's what You always hope happens when You give.
