I hate losing but anytime playoffs aren’t realistic I prefer a higher draft pick. But that’s just me.

It's a Seinfeld reference. The name of my fantasy team is The Van Buren Boys. It's their secret sign while holding a garlic shaker.

Given the Steelers record in playoffs under Tomlin, I'd rather they not make it and move a few spots in every round in the draft.

It's pointless to make the playoffs with Tomlin running the show. The beatdowns will only get worse. I want to avoid the worst playoff loss in NFL history.

I will say, I did find it nice to beat the Ravens. I care much less so about beating a hapless Browns squad this week.

I figure we'll win, get in, get slaughtered and everyone will talk up the great job Tomlin did even getting the lambs to the slaughter.

The good news about worse draft pick status in each round? It saves a million or so in contracts. We did get TJ Watt late in the 1st round. We have a new GM, so maybe we end up making shrewd picks with a less helpful draft slot. I remain hopeful on all things Steelers that is NOT headed up by the head coach Mike Tomlin.

Will Tomlin address the mess at OC or simply throw up (the bad kind of throw up) another empty, pointless cliche about continuity and keep the dumpster fire that is a Canada designed offense?

Not stupid...just .....not thinking about the long-term effects for the Rookies. We all can be influenced by our feelings....right , or wrong. No biggie.

I am perfectly happy with the way things are right now. The only thing that could disappoint me right now would be a loss to the Browns while the Patriots and Dolphins lost. However, even then, this team is headed in the right direction and really is not ready to compete with any of the potential first round playoff teams.

This season reminds me a lot of 2000. They started with Kent Graham (wow, if you think Mitch is bad, you should have seen him), 0-3, everyone wanted to fire Cowher. Then they made a quarterback change, went 9-4 the rest of the way but did not get the help needed the last weekend to make the playoffs. Still, much better days were ahead.

All the way to this day....I don't know what they seen in K. Graham...of course....I don't know what they seen in Trubisky either, but....I agree I'd take a Trubisky over Graham.

I am really nervous with Jets beating Miami down in Miami.
Oh well my fingers are crossed and hope for the best. I hope the Steelers and Buffalo
    hold up their end.

As to original question, I wanted it and IMO it was good. Regardless of last game, this season far exceeded my expectations. I really believe we have the pieces in place to be in the top 7 AFC for years to come. I can see the STEELER/bengal games being huge. I get the talent level of other QB's in AFC but Kenny sure looks like he ain't gonna give a crap.

If all else fails we will dump Mike and get Marvin Lewis. You know damn well he'd love to smoke his old team in the playoffs;) Not sure but he may be a College Coach now and I seriously doubt any NFL team would try him again.

My daughter wants me to put her college fund on the Steelers over the Browns.
It could be the difference between 4 years at Boston U or 4 weeks at the Barnum and Bailey Clown College, which is now a correspondence course.

So you want to give up on the playoffs, because Tomlin is the HC? BooHoo that your skin is to thin that you might get your feelings hurt over a playoff loss. People b!tch about not winning playoff games and SBs, but that wont have a chance to change without making the playoffs. You ALWAYS take the opportunity to play extra games. As long as a playoff game has to be played, there is always a chance to win it. Regardless of anyone's opinion. I will love watching heads explode if, the Steelers make it and win a playoff game.

To hear more about Mike's personal record over and over as we squeak into the playoffs only to get our asses handed to us and then hear about how the Steelers are playing championships football from Mike all off-season
