Physically, he is very talented. It is between the ears that he is lacking. It is his third year in the league and he still can't figure out how to reach up when he is fighting for the ball and he still runs sloppy routes.

    agree

i don't think he 'makes it'

for a #2, he will never be talked among the standouts each year. I THOUGHT he was going to be THAT GUY.

I think he would have been outstanding if they just would have gave him more music at practice

Just watch Pickens high point the ball. He’s a master. Claypool is a body catcher.

I saw and laughed at it last night. The only problem with that trade is that the Steelers might have been able to get Roquan Smith instead and passed. Of course, we don't know for certain if the Bears would have done it and I get why the Steelers passed on a likely rental, but this would likely be a playoff team if they had Smith.

Exactly for as Big as Chase Claypool is, he should of out muscled everyone for a high point or 50/50 ball.

He also had a weird deal of leaving his feet to catch passes when he didn't have too.

He's got strong hands too. What's he catches the ball there's 0 movement.

It won’t be a great investment for Da Bears

He only has one year left on his contract and I don’t see them extending him in the off season

If he has a bad year next year he won’t be a good investment

If he has a good year next year he will be a FA commanding a big salary that any team can bid on and again it won’t be a good investment

Exactly. He really had to produce for them this year, or at least show up well enough to justify possibly extending him this offseason, for that trade to work out for them.

I don't know if I can recall a guy regressing so much after a promising rookie season. I know there's the sophomore slump, but good players in this league typically bounce back year three and continue getting better.

Thinking back on the Steelers history at trading receivers the Bears actually done pretty good. The last 2 receivers we traded away (Martavis Bryant and AB) didn't get a single catch for the raiders.

If I were GM for another team I wouldn't trade for ANY Steeler receiver. We tend to (insert naughty word here) any team we trade a receiver to. At least we used lubricant with the bears. He did catch a few passes for them.

I think given one offseason, Claypool and Fields will click and both will have a good 23 season. I wish no ill will on Claypool. Especially if he gets us the 32nd pick

    So We all make mistakes.
No biggie. I didn't like Claypool, but I also didn't want to trade Him.

Well for that stuff to happen...Fields must learn to pass more than He loves to run, and Claypool will have to stay upright. LoL

If I remember correctly....K. Bell had a bad sports hernia, and never fully recovered from that, and then went to KC

Me too. I thought we should have kept him to give Pickett an added weapon.

Of course our early 2nd round draft pick form Bears, may make me forget about Claypool.
