She is a football analyst who was on NFL Network for years, but really, I thought the content of what she said might lead to an interesting discussion.

 

Honestly....whether You like, dislike, or anything other with Mike Tomlin.....Why in the world would He even think about leaving????
It's the best Job ever, and as far as money......You can be even the middle of the pack paid coach if You still have a job over 16 years, and a higher payed coach is fired after 4, or 5.

 

The players use contracts as a measuring stick, a way to compare themselves to other players. I don't think Tomlin cares about that at this point. There are plenty of good arguments against Tomlin, but this idea that he would be looking elsewhere for a bigger contract if he could just isn't one of them. I am absolutely certain that if he resigned after this season to look for a job elsewhere, he would field multiple offers for more money than he is making now. Also, those would be less stable situations, so which means less job security.

 

But that's the root cause of our problem. Pederson wins a SB in Philly and gets fired a couple years later. Now they are one win from being the #1 seed in the NFC with a coach I never heard of before this year. However, there are those who will keep asking who'll is out there to replace MT. JMO>

 

I'm sure there are a few young, unknown coaches out there who would be great, but the success rate for those guys is relatively low.

Really...So what if they don't win this year, and Jags win before them. Remember regular season has nothing to do with the post season. We've seen a lot of great regular season teams not even sniff a SB....every year.

Well, that woman could say Tomlin is greatest football coach ever and that Jack Lambert was an overrated wimp and I’d STILL enjoy a clip of her.

One of my favorite things to look at in sports commentary.

Aside from my slight disagreements with her here, I think she a good analyst.

Teams like the Eagles, Dolphins, Bengals and even the Ravens are good now because they had lousy year(s) that allowed them to load up on talent. Even in a rebuilding year, the Steelers are still contending for a playoff spot with two games left. We just don’t tank

 

With a name like STD, of course you would look for that first.

 

I would definitely hire her to be the national spokesperson for my Dick.

 

No one should want to ever tank. Philly's (problem) started with Chip Kelly but he didn't last that long yet never had less than 10 wins. JMO>
