Tomlin isn't going anywhere

I've never called anyone a troll. I know who the "Everything is Tomlin's fault" crowd is. Can't think of anyone who really wants Tomlin to stay. There's a bunch of us who realize that whether Tomlin stays or goes ain't up to us, so why wank about it in eh, he, hevery thread!

 

He didn't call you a troll for attacking Tomlin. I believe the issue is your mischaracterization of other members of the board and refusal to name names.

Well at least you don’t have to resort to the weak troll attack just because we don’t agree on things. Some of you guys are happy with the Steelers or think we are moving in the right direction while I am not and do not. It’s just a matter of opinions and all this superfan or you’re not a real fan nonsense is garbage. I’d much rather be discussing an upcoming playoff run or being a contender trust me. Instead I’ll be watching other teams play meaningful games in January which has become the new norm accept it or not.

Again...nobody starts with a brand new team when they become a coach....unless it's a expansion team, and even then they get to pick ,and chose.

 

I don’t really have a dog in this fight, but I believe STD has proven to be a knowledgeable trustworthy member here. I don’t think it’s necessary to insinuate that he’s dishonest. Just my two cents.

I never said they're good. That's why you're a troll. You put words in people's mouths to fit your narrative. Also, you spew the same "fact" over and over again. You're a redundant, boring troll.

 

They may have been on Cowher’s team but there were quite a few starters on the 2008 team who did not start SBXL. Point is Cowher didn’t see fit to start them so to just disregard what Tomlin did with them is silly. Lots of coaches are handed great rosters and don’t go to 2 Super Bowls winning 1. I loved Cowher, but Tomlin deserves the credit from the day he became coach and dropped the first Tomlinism.

 

This is true. Timmons, Woodley, Clark, Harrison, Holmes... and 2 or 3 on the OL.

 

He made multiple false claims. When asked to back them up, he refuses, which means he can't do it. That is enough reason to insinuate that he is being dishonest.

He claims that I wrote that Trubisky would be great. I did not. He claims I wrote that all Canada needed was a mobile quarterback. I did not. He made similar false claims about other members of the board. What he should do is admit that he was wrong, but I doubt he will show that sort of integrity. If he would simply admit that he cannot back up his claims, that would be good enough, but he won't even do that.

Here’s my opinion. I believe him. I think he knows that it’s true and just doesn’t want to do the legwork to go prove it. I think he’s built up enough of a report around here that he feels like he should be taken at his word.
At the same time I understand what you’re saying. And it’s not really that hard to go find a post if you want to spend a little bit of time on it. Anyway, just my two cents again lol.

 

That was funny!! The thread got a lot of action and it was useless. I'm pretty sure no Steeler thinks Mike Tomlin is going anywhere. We all know he is coming back but I guess we needed reminded.

The debate you jumped into is about what I and others posted. STD insists I wrote that Trubisky would be great. I did not. He insists that I wrote that all he needed was a mobile quarterback. I did not. I challenged him to share the relevant posts, which he refuses to do. He insists they exist. I'm telling you they do not. That is why I took your post as calling me a liar.

One reason I want him to share the posts is I think he is misreading what I wrote. I did write that I thought Trubisky was worth the relatively cheap gamble the Steelers took when they signed him. That is not the same thing as saying he would be great. I also acknowledged that Roethlisberger's lack of mobility was one thing that held the offense back last year, but that doesn't mean all Canada needs is a mobile quarterback. I've never thought much of the guy and I think he's a big part of the problem with the passing game right now.

 

Admittedly I didn’t read farther back in the thread so I may not have the full story.
