Ray Fittapaldo is a guy that I would trust.
I am a little surprised he would put this out there at this point.

    Popejoy asks: "Why now?"
That's just not the way the Steelers work, and it rarely makes anything better. The Steelers do have Mike Sullivan on staff.
I do get a feeling that Canada is walking the Green Mile though.

I agree about Canada, but think Haley, and as some have mentioned S. Payton are not good enough. ..., or are they talking about as HC....still not good enough.

I`ll believe Ray Fittapaldo when I see it.

We could do better, but who is available?

the HC from AZ will be available. A number of HC's maybe be available, that are offensive minded, but just not HC material.

Why would a guy who has a hundred million in the bank, can set on his butt and do a weekly podcast seek out a 16 hour a day job that pays 700 grand a year. Honestly not even sure Ben could be a good OC, its one thing to work on the fly..he did it well, another to plan an entire game plan.

I figured that was a response to my post. Bienemy isn't leaving KC for another OC job, so it really doesn't matter, but we've seen this show before. Some OC gets credit for Andy Reid's work with the Chiefs, parlays that into a head coaching job, then flames out with just about everyone saying that his offense was a disaster. That's what happened with Nagy in Chicago. That alone makes me think Bienemy is probably getting too much credit for having a brilliant offensive mind as his head coach and not getting in the way fo the fantastic talents of Patrick Mahomes.

Haley I don’t know but I would love for Munchak to return. His tenure was easily our best Olines of the past 20 years.

You , and @jeh1856@jeh1856 are dumb about this. He not only learned the playbook, but 4 different ones I know of. Plenty of players will attest to this, and all You both have is what You think. LoL.

I think Hackett is Randy Fichtner 2.0. Just had a buddy that was a HOF QB running the offense while he sat back and watched.

Nothing, but horror stories on Nagy's offensive mind coming out of Chicago.

And Frank Reich. He was a disaster in handing Indy's QB position the last 4 years after Luck left starting a new QB every year.

I'm not sure that was entirely Reich's fault. Just because he managed to get something out of Foles, it seemed like they kept thinking he could produce with a parade of has-beens and scrubs taking snaps. I'm not sure how much power he had in building the roster for the Colts. He wouldn't have that in Pittsburgh. It probably wouldn't be the worst idea to bring him in as OC if he wanted it.

Can someone explain to me, why other teams WR'S seem to run open ? I have
asked this question since Matt Canada has been OC. I know we still have some OL problems
and run game problems but there are teams in the NFL that Wr/ TE/Rb are wide open.

How many open WR did you see on this video? The QB needs to be willing to pull the trigger and throw with accuracy and anticipation. KP is not there yet from a consistency stand point. I would look for KP to take more steps in this regard as he gains more trust/better pass protection from the Oline, after a year of experience playing with WRs, and becoming better at recognizing defensive coverages pre and post snap quicker.

Although I agree the fact that KP must be better, I also blame route construction for this . I want to see a SF passing game.

It starts with the route tree and route combos ..To many times the combos bring another Defender into the play instead of taking him away ...We don't go deep enough as Teams stay in that Cover 2 and Cover 3 Shell and tackle the catch , we need more deep routes and throws to create more space underneath...

We use the wrong guys in the wrong spots in the route tree ..DJ runs the streaks and the curls a lot , he should be the slant, drag, arrow in , arrow out guy ..He is the fastest in short spaces and should get routes that keep him moving ...George is the Big guy he should have all comebacks, curls, stop and go's and straight go routes....

Then your TE'S get those smash, curl, post up type routes..

Our OC doesn't understand these concepts so our YAC is crap ..

Nope.. Offense looks pedestrian, timing stinks and communication seems to be problematic. He needs to go and I too agree with Steve Smith. He is a college offensive coordinator at best. Saturday needs to be Sunday
