Absolutely........ They rode Derrick Henry's legs to a 1st half lead and then tried to ride Malik Willis's arm in the 2nd half for a loss

I have to disagree on Vrabel, They took a QB unprepared to play in the NFL for right now.he may
need another full year to change this? Owners fired
the GM that traded away WR to Philly. They have very few weapons to work with.

Seems like the former GM was blamed for that. Vrabel didn't seem to be on the page of dealing AJ Brown.

The Titans should be using Willis like New Orleans has used Taysom Hill for the majority of his career. It’s not fair to the guy to use him at QB right now.

I'd go find an Australian rules football player who can punt 70-80 yards,

It was always super weird with him to begin with though, right? Like he has a huge, elite-level arm… but was as green as it gets at the QB position. He faced lower competition in college too and put up good, but not eye-popping or amazing numbers. You basically have to teach the kid how to play QB and do so at the NFL level. He was always going to be a double redshirt and hope he works out guy… Such a hard evaluation.

He’s either going to be 150 total yards and 3+ turnovers every game or end up being another Jalen Hurts. Very little in between. The only thing is it’s about 99.99% garbage and .01% Hurts clone.

You’re right though, he’s certainly not ready to be an NFL QB right now. He has a perfect situation with a good line and good running game. His WR situation is less than ideal, but overall it’s a great situation to be in. He’s just not ready at all. Tennessee needs to stick with the plan and get him ready. Would hate to shake his confidence by throwing him out there to get destroyed.

There was a lot more reason to believe that Hurts could be a player in the NFL. He played against high-level competition when he started for Alabama, then again at Oklahoma. He produced more for those teams and both systems were more complex than what Willis ran at Liberty. Based on what I've read, there are plenty of high school offenses that are more complex than what Willis played in at Liberty.

He may still turn out to be good , but he for sure was a project ...Him playing this year is not helping him at all he needed 2 or 3 seasons to work on Mechanics and foot work and then try and adjust to the speed of the NFL mental wise...I wish him the best , but it's not looking good at this point...

Why are you using Net? The punter doesn’t control how far the guy returns it.

    Net is the important number

And yes the punter can help control this with hang time

I shutter to think that if Pickett were not available that Tomlin would have taken Willis in the first round. He seemed to be pretty enamored with him. Thankful Pickett was available so we didn’t have to find out.

I'm starting to believe that was a smoke screen.

I'm not sure if it was entirely a smoke screen. If Pickett had been gone, I think they would have been thrilled to get Willis in the third round. Maybe they would have taken him in the second. I just don't think they were taking him in the first. I think Pickett was their guy all along.

That's what I mean by smoke screen...., or I meant. I meant only KP was the Qb they would take in the 1st.

Since you mentioned it, how about that Waitman we let get away...averaging .7 yards more a kick. In other words..they both suck lol

This ranking doesn’t shown the whole picture. You can boom one for 70 yards and then shank one for 20 and still average 45 yards. Consistency is important, especially when the game is on the line and Harvin needs to work on that

Help yes, but it’s not a fair representation of the punter, it’s more representative of the punt team.
