1. Steelers win vs the Ravens
2. Seahawks win vs the Jets
3. Patriots win vs the Dolphins

If those 3 things happen in week 17, The Steelers would still be alive and need 3 additional things in week 18.
Needs in week 18 are....
1. Steelers win vs the Browns
2. Jets win over the Dolphins
3. Buffalo wins vs the Patriots.

That's a total of 6 results. 3 on week 17 and 3 on week 18. If all 6 results happen, the steelers are the 7th seed in the playoffs

 

Yep. I like the odds of Jets and Dolphins losing on the road this coming weekend. Wondering what QB we will be seeing in our game with Ratbirds.

 

Jets could beat the Seahawks in week 17 and there could still be a shot.

Jets and Dolphins tie in week 18, Steelers still get in. I'd say a tie is unlikely, but after Chargers - Raiders last year, I'd say who knows.

These six games are important, but the Chiefs/Broncos and Buffalo/Cincy games also become important. If the Chiefs lose and Buffalo wins, they clinch home field. Means they may be resting some players week 18. Although you know if Buffalo has a chance to keep New England out of the playoffs, they're not going to roll over and die.

 

Basically, we have to control what we can control. If we win two and still don't make it, well, that's life. If we win two and make it, the "Fire Tomlin" crowd is going to have to reevaluate their life choices.

 

Beat the Ratbirds, singular focus.
