Last night at Christmas dinner we were discussing this. The QB you picked had to be a above average QB in the league. Past or Present.

Three of us said Drew Brees. I have older family members (late 80's) and one said Bobby Layne??????

I think we'd all be happy if he put the numbers Brees put up

NFL.com draft profile lists Andy Dalton (early years). Google adds Tony Romo and Teddy Bridgewater. I would love for him to develop into a Roger Staubach, smart, mobile, and accurate.

 

I don't really see the Brees comparison, Pickett is more mobile and less accurate than Brees.

Yup. I like the poise and confidence he has. Dude has ice in his veins he just needs more time imo. Maybe he never gets better but I’m betting he will

 

Brister had a big arm and limited brains, pretty much the opposite of Pickett.

 

Marino had small hands, too, but he had as strong an arm as any quarterback in the NFL at the time.

 

Ahh yes, John Cusack, an above average NFL QB as specified in the OP. Famous for holding the ball up until he is noticed.

 

I cant think off the top of my head who Kenny reminds me of. Right now i see no familiarity with other qbs.
Kenny throws a bullet 90% of the time. I have yet to see how he will do with the touch passes.
A couple of games ago he almost over threw heyward on that td pass. That was a perfect time to throw the touch pass as he was wide open, but he threw the bullet. Hopefully he develops as time goes on.

 

Any Brees comparison needs to factor in with a coach like Sean Payton.
