This guy has performed pretty well jumping into the 49ers lineup. Obviously it helps that he is on a good team with a great defense and we only have a small sample size. But it's a good start. He is another example of how deep in the NFL draft (or undrafted) you can go and still find players. What I find interesting is that he was a 4 year starter for an historically mediocre/bad program but led them to 4 straight winning seasons. This is very rare in Iowa State history. (It may be the only time they've ever done it). He beat Oregon in his lone Bowl win and collected the MVP. He won a bunch of other awards and honors including citizenship and academic. Nice pick up by the Niners. (No, I do not want to turn this into a Kenny Pickett bash/comparison thread). I am just commenting that his success for the Cyclones was probably a bigger sign of potential than most people realized.

But, But, But, But we will never sniff another SB without a Top 3 QB pick and a 2-15 record. (insert sarcasm-Green font is too hard to see).

To OP I am glad for Brock Purdy, That he was drafted by SF and they had enough faith in him
to keep him. They have a very good team and barring injuries could be in Superbowl with him
    as QB.

I hope Purdy wins the super bowl. Otherwise Brady will try to get a ring with the 49ers. If Purdy wins there will be no reason for them to want Brady.

I don’t really watch college football very often but I agree with what you said. Also when everyone says “it’s easy to win on that team”. Well they have yet to win a super bowl. I feel Purdy is elevating the team compared to Jimmy G. and Trey Lance.

Purdy is doing a great job and is undefeated. The 49ers are not winning games with a 6-3 score
