And you feel that is a realistic solution with how the Rooney's
    Run their team?

I get that. It might be unrealistic in that sense, but any solution that doesn't start with that is also unrealistic. We might be in a classic Kobayashi Maru situation.

Their are no solutions for this year. Oh except for starting Rudolph :lolol:

But a lot of posters have been talking about solutions for next season and beyond including myself. I believe you have as well.

This season is an old dishrag, you just toss it out and don't look back.

Excellent quote! Well done and explains it clearly.

Tomlin is not going anywhere. Unfortunately.

You fire Canada and Austin. You make Flores the defensive coordinator and he hand picks his staff. Tomlin buts out and studies extra hard on Time Management. Then you hire a competent NFL Offensive Coordinator and he hand picks his staff. You draft OLT and DT, corner and an Inside Linebacker.
If they can trade down and grab some extra picks that would be a bonus. Some money is coming off the books so they may be able to grab a stud corner in the FA market. All the positions won't be upgraded in one season. But I expect that the 24 season we should be back in the hunt.

This has been discussed ad nauseum and I still wonder about all the money invested in the defense and a thing called ROI. So, which is it:
    a. poor personnel / talent identification, which is an organizational issue,
    b. good personnel but footballs best defensive minds can't develop players or adjust scheme to match personnel talent which is a coaching problem
    c. poor player execution which goes back to a above.
    d. bad luck due to injuries and our not having a mascot,
    e. old news so what difference does it make, and some members will start typing anti-post posts immediately because of questions like this,
    f. all of the above
    g. none of the above

I am not harping on anyone for anything and just making light of a FU situation a few hours before our next nail biting uncertainty. In all seriousness, lets try and leave Carolina with anything we can all post something positive later on. JMO>

No it's not a realistic solution with how the Rooney's run their team, but it should be. This team will not be the same as fans expect it to be until this happens.

Tomlin… It was basically a playoff game and lost to a 3rd string QB. He’s fine when there’s no pressure. Probably win today even though they shouldn’t.

I don't know, but I knew it was being talked about in another place....So....I thought maybe they could get together, and have more people discussing it.

Yeah...next time I just let two groups of people talk about the same thing in different spots, and not try to get them together so the discussion could be better. I don't care where they talk....I was just trying to bring people together about the same thing. My Bad.

I'll give a easy one. People (not You) are complaining.....How did We lose to that team. Really simple Trubisky threw 3 ints, and only one Td. The Browns didn't. We would have won also if He didn't.
I don't know why that's so hard for some people to grasp.
Oh Yeah I do....because some of them wanted Trubisky.

I don't think the Steelers are far away from winning consistently again.

KP should improve from year one to year two. The offense as a whole should grow considering they are an young unit. DM and KD need to face serious competition on the Oline to elevate their games or be replaced by better players.

There will be players available in the draft and free agency. I believe the Steelers will have more cash available under the cap.

IMO the next 3 to 4 seasons hinge on KP's development, ability to produce, and ultimately play well enough not to hurt the team.

    We'll see.

    It’s not Tomlin’s. The Steelers haven’t had a losing season since 2003.

Bit of all of the above in my opinion.

Devin Bush was not the Shazier replacement they expected him to be - that’s a. They also can’t draft corners to save their lives - also a.

Lots of bad injury luck this year with Watt missing almost half the season and playing injured now. With a healthy Watt I think they have at least 2 more wins and are in the playoffs hunt.

They also desperately, desperately need a real 3-4 NT. If you want to play a 3-4 you need someone who can anchor the middle of the line or you can’t stop the run - as we’ve seen with the Steelers. I’d even be fine with them taking one in the first if there’s a great talent available. They’ve let this slide for way too long.

But Trubisky two redzone interceptions cost them points, all the Steelers needed to win the game was one FG.

So he won a meaningless game and we will end up with the 18 draft pick and not get an offense tackle to protect our qb whoever it is.

I love the Steelers but it does not mean I have to drink the kool aid about our head football coach . He was the head coach who just lost to that god awful ravens team.
