Now that’s what I call engaging in floratio. SDOT must have gotten into his ear.

Consider the source, I will believe it when Schefter reports it.

Wasn't Tepper a minority owner of the Steelers that wanted Tomlin out a few years ago? Ain't happening in Carolina.

An entire group of minority owners wanted him gone after the Jacksonville loss in 2018, yes, that included Tepper:

Rob Citrone, Paul Evanson, Larry Paul, Stephen Paul, Bruce Rauner, Paul Sams, John Stallworth, Benjamin Statler, Scott Swank, David Tepper, Thomas Tull, Peter Varischetti, and Mike Wilkins"

That was also according to Florio though:

This is where y’all have to take time to dig a little deeper. They never actually name which minority owners wanted tomlin gone. They just give you a list of all the minority owners. #clickbait

According to the article those WERE the names involved but of course that was only according to Florio:

"And now some Steelers minority owners are reportedly getting in Art Rooney's ear about firing Tomlin over the game.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Tuesday that he's hearing "some of the team's limited partners intend to lobby owner Art Rooney to fire of Tomlin and to hire a new coach.

    To be clear: These members of ownership, who bought into the team about a decade ago, do not have the authority to hire or fire anyone or to make any sort of management decisions. They are minority owners without a controlling interest;

Florio lists "Rob Citrone, Paul Evanson, Larry Paul, Stephen Paul, Bruce Rauner, Paul Sams, John Stallworth, Benjamin Statler, Scott Swank, David Tepper, Thomas Tull, Peter Varischetti, and Mike Wilkins" as names involved. "

This group is particularly incensed about the final 47 seconds of the Steelers' loss after the Jaguars kicked a field goal to go up 10 points."

Considering Tepper left and seeing how he’s running the Panthers. I think it’s a safe bet he wanted Tomlin out.

If he was content with mediocrity he would’ve stayed in Pittsburgh and collected checks.

People need to stop with the Tomlin trade thing. HC trades range from rare to non existent

You have a better chance of being struck by lightning while you are being eaten by a shark than you do of Tomlin being traded.

Yup, an organization that never even fires coaches is suddenly gonna trade one. Of all the possible outcomes for Tomlin this off season, I’d wager that a contract extension is most likely. Certainly far more likely than being fired or traded.

Some fans won’t like it. But Art II doesn’t listen to his minority partners. He sure as hell won’t listen to the fans.

There's more chance of me becoming the next head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers than Tomlin being traded

    If Tomlin does step down....
I'm looking over at Sean Peyton. (I doubt the Steelers will)
But he's a guy that would bring in an offensive Coordinator (like with Brees)

There are others, but I was just thinking since the Cowboys would be numbskulls to fire the coach that has them rolling... Oh wait, it is Jerry Jones.
    Never mind.

I’ve been hoping and praying for this almost all season now.

Get three high draft pics and hire Sean Peyton. We will shoot right up the rankings for years to come.

Peyton would LOVE to come to the most stable organization in the league with all the young it talent we have and could acquire.

This sounds like wild speculation at best. Tomlin is not going anywhere for now.

I’d be happy enough for him to stay if he’d put a more capable coaching staff around himself. Canada, Fictner, Klemm etc. Not NFL standard by all accounts. Some of the hiring at that level has been very questionable to put it kindly

Obviously this won't happen. The only way this would ever have a chance to happen (and it won't) is if we didn't just draft a QB...and there was a generational, can't miss, HOF QB at the top of the draft. Like an Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Elway...then maybe you do this to pair that pick with an offensive genius head coach, if one is available.
