If You pick wisely....there are very good players in all the draft. Hell some very good players don't even get drafted many years, and are picked up in UDFA.
It's not where You pick its who You pick.
    History shows this.

I'd like them to show improvement and play as many second and third string guys as possible to start seeing what we have . I don t ever believe in tanking I think it creates a bad locker room mentality. Fans get freaked out that they won a couple of games and dropped down the draft order. Picking 8th 15th or 22nd I don t think there is that much of a difference.
The real keys are how well they do in the middle rounds. Some guy you target as your 3rd round pick is never there when you pick and if he is he wasn't really valued that high to begin with.
I always hope they win but we are about to play teams that run the ball well so whether I want them to win or lose it's not going to matter.

I understand the concept of hoping for losses to get higher draft picks. I tried that during the 80s. It doesn't work. I'd turn on the game hoping for a loss but find myself rooting for the Steelers during the game anyway.

You can hope for a loss with your brain but your heart overrides the brain and wants the win.

Pickett- a couple 300+ yard games Pickens- a couple 100+ yard games Harris- a couple 100+ yard games Highsmith- 3-5 sacks. And hopefully a top 5 pick.

No I want all loses for a better pick and even that’s not guaranteed with how this organization has been doing lately

Why would you want a higher pick? People like you will find a problem with whoever gets chosen. Tomlin/Canada/Rooney suck, remember? Tomlin could get fired and replaced with Lombardi and take Joe Montana in the first round along with Barry Sanders and LT and guys like you would hate it!

This is a very good point as I also can never actually watch a game and want them to lose. However at this point if they do lose it really can’t be seen as a bad thing because I would still take better draft capital in a rebuild over 8-8-1

I have lower hopes than most of you. I just want to see us punt >17 yards for all the remaining punts of this season.

3 Playoff Wins in 12 years= 1 Bad Season. That’s an interesting equation.

This team is physically softer than Jello. They are not punishing anyone.

I personally love power hard nosed football but to be honest the league is not built that way anymore. It’s a pass happy League with all the rules benefiting the offense. You have to have good QB play and explosive offense to compete with the best teams. On defense if you hit hard you most likely get roughing calls that kill the team and alter games. It sucks in my opinion but that’s just the way the NFL is now. Flag Football.
