My question is, will KP now be fitted with a modified
helmet like Pat Friermuth has been?

If Pickett sits then Mason will be the backup, if Trubisky stinks it up again, then they should bench him.

I heard today that independent spotters are who had Him taken Him out. Don't know how true that is.

If You are in the pocket.....the flag comes quicker. I've been saying this. If You take off running they don't throw it as much. Its been a rule.
All the hits We've put on Lamar....We have only been flagged for it twice.
Once in the pockets (which actually cost us our only loss against Him), and once they said We hit Him out of bounds. Those are the rules. Qbs are protected in the pocket.
This.....this....Is why I say .....Why swim against the current. Why play against the rules. Don't purposely/design run Your most important position.
That's why when We broke Ravens Qb in half .....no flag. I don't even know why a Qb would want to run...unless it was a Qb sneak , or Redzone.

Always been a rule. Qbs are protected in the pocket. Can't hit them too hard. Not to high, and not to low, but if You take off, or have been taking off, and it looks like You are running. They don't look at it the same.
Ever wonder why after all the hits we've put on Lamar....only two have been flagged.
One was in the pocket, and one was called a late hit out of bounds.

ok, this what I think about this whole QB situation, at 5-8 I am playing Trubisky next week (period). Pickett is done for the year.

I think he should miss at least a game, even if the league is being overcautious. Give Mitch a chance to win the next game, after his horrible outing.

No flag should have been thrown on the Herbert hit and it doesn’t matter where a QB is on the field, a face mask is still a face mask, especially when you wrench the guys head around and slam it on the turf.

Agreed on both. He was slammed down hard, but honestly, that's tough to call when guys scramble as Pickett did on that play. It was similar to how Tua's second concussion happened. (I know the league and the team still claim he didn't have one the first time, but we all know that is crap.)

I'm not talking about Picketts face mask. I totally agree on that. I'm talking about protection in the pocket. People can't complain about protection in the pocket when the rule has been there. Every one knows that if You hit a Qb in the pocket wrong, or if it looks kind of wrong You will get a flag.....but if You are scrambling....You don't get that protection. That's all I'm saying. It's the rules. Again. That's why We got no flag for breaking Ravens Qb in half. He became a runner. I didn't make the rules.
That's why I don't understand the love for a running Qb. You are automatically playing against the grain/swimming up river against the current then. That's all My Friend.

It's not as if Pickett was running down the field when he was hit. He was still in the backfield. Huntley was well past the line of scrimmage when they lit him up. The two plays were very different.

No ....I agree, but the refs seen Him run on ....what ??? Two of His last 3, or 4 plays, and maybe in their mind they think....well here He goes again.
Anyway....no matter where on the field He is .....that dang face mask should have been a penalty.

Yup. Regardless of whether they considered him a runner or not, that was a penalty and they missed it.

Pickett listed as doubtful for Sunday...

    Mitch or Rudy
    Rudy or Mitch

I think it will be Mitch, and if Mitch starts bad then Rudolph gets into the game.
