Love Tebow....this is the the type of place he needs to be....where the top QB is a given...and every bad pass wont start Tebow chants. That being said I really like T. Pryor...and keep your eyes on Mike Vic as a backup here in 2013.

He's too big a personality to have sitting around behind your starters. Denver did not give him a bad deal. Elway's not an idiot and knew this so he got him out of there!

He is only a distraction because the starter sucks....you would not here a peep in Pitt as long as Ben is healthy.

there is no way Vick is going to be a Steeler. he is not going to be an Eagle either, but he is going to go somewhere that he has a chance to be a starter and thats not Pittsburgh. he doesnt want to be a backup and there will be plenty of teams looking for a starting qb.

 

colin klien, colin klien, colin klien. a cross between ben and tebow with talent. late round gem. i just like how the kid plays and i'd love to see him here. he'd be a great 3rd qb next year.

I would LOVE TEBOW as a backup....those QB runs would add a nice redzone/short yardage package to the O....Tebow might not be a great QB...but he is a great football player.....I like football players.

The only reason Vick is not a Steeler right now is because Ben was getting into trouble as Vick was getting out of jail.

Mike Tomlin wanted him....Mr. Rooney said..we can't have more bad press right now bringing him in.

That was then this is now........I think Vick will get one more chance to start...but he is much closer to the Byron Leftwhich ending your career tour than he is to WE WANT YOU TO BE OUR STARTER!

I am not saying he will come to Pitt...but he is exactly what they look for...talented vet...not starting anywhere else....can hold the fort for a game or two while Ben heals.

Backups are backups for a reason....very few just suddenly become "THE MAN" Matt Flynn made some nice cash..then couldnt beat out the rookie Wilson in Seattle.

If they are really GOOD...they will get starters money...and starters chances around the league.

If they are really GOOD....they are drafted in the first 2 rounds with an eye on them starting sooner than later

If they are available and a possible option..."THEY SUCK WE DON'T WANT THEM"


Dennis Dixon wanted out of Pitt for goodness sake because he never got to play...and Dennis Dixon was not a good QB.

You get the vet...and then you get the young gun and hope to God you can coach him up to slightly above average....ala Matt Flynn.

Hack I've wondered about Vick too, and I'd love it. Vick's biggest issue is he gets hit way too much which makes him trigger happy, and he can't last an entire season... But for situations like we just had where we need him 3 games... HELL YES.

But, part of me thinks the Rooneys still wouldn't want to get in bed with Vick.

 

I think they would be much more open to it this time around....Ben's trouble is long gone and over...same with Vick....There are no protestors outside the Eagles training camp....There are no protestors at Heinz Field.


That being said...I figure Vick gets another chance to start in the NFL.....but as a backup QB...this is the perfect place for him...he gets to sit behind Ben...yet still probably play 2 or 3 games a year....show off his "W's" with a solid Def at his back...and maybe get one more big payday.

If Vick was called in he would hurt himself coming off the bench...he's all but ready for a handicap sticker. Seriously not Vick and need no distraction with Tebow the Rooneys don't like distractions see any cheerleaders on the field.

i did see that hack. you and i have some similar "like" guys this year. gooden. elam. amerson. jordan. klien. jenkins. jones. all worthy prospects at the right time. gooden has been sliding and i like that. we could grab klien,gooden and shamarko thomas all in the last 3 rounds. i'd take that every day and twice on sundays.

Tebow would have a better chance here than a lot of places.... as Haley has proven he adjusts his system to his players....said thats why Charlie had a bad week in Cleveland...because they shoved Charlie into a round hole....that Haley didn't have a feel for what Charlie was good at and liked....its all in print out there to read....Haley changed up to Charlies strengths..and Charlie looked really good against Balt.

Which is true....but if you do some research...most backups are 50 to 60 %.......its why they are backups.
