I hadn't seen this on another thread, but Cameron and Connor Heyward visited the grave of their father, Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, before the game. I knew the elder Heyward played for the Falcons. I didn't realize he was buried in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Big brother had a sack today and little brother caught his first NFL touchdown.

''This morning, we woke up early and went to my dad's grave,'' Cameron Heyward said. ''It kind of hit me when (Connor) scored. I was a complete mess. I don't like to be a soppy person, but it was one of those moments.''

Yes, he was drafted by the Saints. He also played briefly for the Bears and Colts. He was just fun to watch, especially when he was dominating games at Pitt.

Not only a good football player, but a better man. Just the way I like my Steeler players to be.

I have watched the Steelers for over 50 years, he is one of the few players that could be spoke of in these terms. Hines Ward also comes to mind.

Ironhead was a monster at RB at Pitt. I thought that he should have won the Heisman in 1987 when he rushed for 1,791 yards. He was 5'11" and weighed around 280 with quick feet and was a good receiver out of the backfield.

Very cool. that Pickett told Heyward in the tunnel that he wanted to get him a TD, thats even more awesome.

Pickett still has some growing to do on the field, but he certainly seems to know how to get a locker room on his side. Look at how the team reacted to him taking over for Trubisky. We saw comment after comment about the energy he brought to the team. That is a big deal. If you don't think so, read some of the coverage of Zach Wilson. It was just one stupid comment after his terrible performance against the Patriots. It is very easy to see that the Jets' players and coaches just don't like the guy. There is a lot of talk that the team has already given up on him even though he was the No. 2 overall pick just last year.
