Now before you call me crazy, ignore the stats and focus on how he actually looks in the game. What other rookie on offense is contributing as much to his team's victories as Kenny?

He should be the frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year, imo.

You are actually posting after a win????
Well now I may take You more seriously.
IMO. Still a lot of football. Let's see in a few more weeks. I honestly haven't even thought about the OROY yet , or whomever may even be considered.

Kenny Pickett needs more passing touchdowns.

I'd say Kenneth Walker is the OROY right now. He's got about 700 scrimmage yards and 9 touchdowns.

Stats aren't that important. Kenny probably has more total yards anyway and counting his rushing TDs probably has just as many.

Stats aren't that important? Listening to sports radio today all I heard was KP improving, but 3td to 8 int.. some were more impressed with his traction..Tj Houshmandzadeh actually thinks he cam develop into a superb QB.

My point, unless he lights it up, more passing TDs, more team wins, highlight longer passes he won't get a sniff at rookie of the year.

To be honest, I would choose Pickens over Pickett right now.

Dak won it over His rb who led the league in rushing, and was 3rd with Tds....Yet the winner Dak was middle of the pack in everything.

It's hard to know what all goes through the minds of those casting the votes. To a degree the QB position gets a bump, but stats do have a play. Of course then you have cases like Donald being voted DPOY over Watt in 2020. Donald is a beast, no doubt, but a lot of projection about his overall impact on the defense as a whole was needed to overcome the stats (not to mention similar projection to his overall defense) that Watt put up that year.

I don't buy this post one bit. If anything it's just so you can say you're a good guy.

    3 TDs to 8 INT
    6 Yards per pass

Yes definitely worthy of an award the same way I buy one for my kids in Soccer.

Pickett is currently 6th in Vegas odds to be OROTY. Walker is 1st by a wide margin. Pickens is 8th.

KP isn’t completely out of the running, but it will take a solid stretch of winning play and stats over the last 6 games to get there. Probably something like 275+ total yards per game and another 12+ total TDS with only a few turnovers to be a true contender. Obviously wins being most important, but wins because of his play not just wins because he managed games.

That's pretty good for the Steelers that they have 2 of the top 8 rookies on their roster this season.

Yes, though he needs to improve at catching a low pass

You'd need octopus suction cups hands to catch the ball like Pickens tried

If Pickett got OROY then that just says that award is a sham award that is simply given to a QB. I'd give the award to Pickens at this stage before I'd give it to Pickett. Pickett has a bright future and I've been a defender of his on this board and other platforms. If the Steelers win out and he throws two TD's a game has an INT or two along the way, then I'd consider him for that award. But now, hell naw.

If I was betting money on the OROY, then I would go with Pickett because of the remaining schedule and how the offense is trending.

The media pumped the idea of Pickett to the Steelers so heavily that I think they'l find a reason to give him the award. He just needs passing TDs or big plays.
