After re-watching the highlights hopes are up for the future. I think Pickett is going to like Pickens hands. He made a few sweet catches.

I don't get all the Kenny Pickett hate from some fans. He managed that game exceptionally well last night. Well deserved.

Pickett will be fine. The criticism he’s received thus far isn’t due to any lack of ability as it is the expectation following a HOF QB. The ball is being placed in his hands with the game on the line with every down more than it ever was with Ben his rookie season. Ben was a game manager with a strong defense, strong O-Line and strong running game.

But but were were going to pick a QB in the 1st, Stroud and those other guys :lolol:

Pickett has gotten better in each game which is what I wanted to see out of him.

Honorable mention to one Alex Highsmith now with double digit sacks! Some said that feat couldn't be done. In his 3rd year. Plus he had a very solid game. An extension has to be in the works.

Mark Madden is requesting Soy Sauce to go with his crow.
He ordered an extra 2 dozen glazed to help him cope this morning.

I was pretty happy with his play tonight, other than several high throws that should have been gimme's and at least one low throw that should have been an easy open target. But yeah, definitely a nice job after how the season has been going.

He really needs to get some passing TDs though. I can't complain about a win, but for his sake, he needs to improve in that aspect.

    Those will come with time.
He had 2 bad overthrows, the 1st down toss and the TD - the passes were there, just high.
That is usually a symptom of the game still being a little fast. Repetition and game experience will smooth that out.

Am I the only one who gets giddy as a school girl when I see a designed QB run? Provided they don't go to that well too often of course.

It's all fun and games until your QB gets twisted up like a pretzel and Mitch comes jogging in from the sidelines.

Pickett did have a good game. I’ll reserve my opinion from here on out until we play Baltimore. I still wanna see him have a “light it up” game. I firmly believe he has cuffs on.

Hell, I do that just getting up each morning. As far as KP, I am not a proponent of a running style QB for obvious reasons. However, I don't have a problem taking what a defense gives you. I think KP has been trying to make things happen and sometimes throwing when he shouldn't, and it cost him a pick. Now, maybe, he is seeing daylight when he didn't earlier (game slowing down?) and taking it for good chucks of yardage. When teams start having to do more accounting for this, it could have a domino effect with their coverages and get WRs some elbow room. As least he is not putting his head down and acting like a FB i.e. Allen and even Hurts. JMO>

His best performance of the year.

    20/28 for 174 yards, 6.2 average. 0 TDs, 0 INTs.
    6 runs for 32 yards.

If he finishes the rest of the year like he did this game he may win OROY.

Couldn't see the game but you guys seem pretty excited over an extremely mediocre stat line VS a s**t team. 174 yards/ 0 td's/87 rating. And he's the messiah now? I can't wait to see this game.

That was a decent defense we played last night. Pickett protected the rock well and made some good decisions. Way too many drops by WRs inclding DJs Limas Sweed stone hands imitation in the EZ or the stat line would have looked way different. OL looked good run blocking and our RBs ran hard. Compared to some of the stinkers we've seen this season, this was very encouraging for the O side of the ball.

Solid performance from him. He missed some throws and some reads, but he’s getting better every week. His accuracy is amazing for a rookie.

Still think the Steelers could use a new left side of the Oline, which would improve life for Pickett, but the right side is really looking great.

It's all relative. A 0 TD game is good as long as it's also a 0 INT game.

On average, Pickett has been going 0 TD/2 INT...so 0/0 is an improvement.

The delayed hand offs were working really well in that game. Najee is not the answer IMHO. MacFarland and Benny Snell played well. I actually prefer their runnign styles over NH
