Interesting. I would assume that NFL policy would require attendance to counted the same way across the league. If not, that would explain why the Steelers do so poorly.

I like the Steelers as much as the next guy, well except for Glemm he’s superfan number 1, but when they have a bad product I’m not paying money and scheduling my entire Sunday around watching them look like dog crap. Nothing against fans that like to go no matter what I’d just rather watch them live when they are competitive. I still watch every game for the most part but being at home and watching for 2 hours is different than commuting parking walking leaving etc.

And if someone is with me I don’t care the score We don’t leave early

I saw Franco makes his catch after a lot of people had left I never thought of leaving early again

Yeah I really never got the whole leaving early thing. Traffic getting home later is just all part of the whole experience.

My dad was a season ticket holder of the Chargers. His motorhome was party central for tailgating at every home game. He'd get there hours early and set everything up and stay late and keep partying. Mind you, this was the Chargers and there wasn't a lot of good news coming from the field. It was all about the party!

That is amazing. Would you say the crowds were more louder in the 70's?

3 Rivers Stadium was louder because the sound did not escape as well

Our family shares season tickets to the Iowa Hawkeyes. I don't give a sh!t how bad the team is or what the weather is, we go for the experience. Iowa City on game day is incredible. Pittsburgh is as well.

I go in early and zig zag through the north side so traffic going in isn’t bad

One of the advantages of club seats is the indoor bar is open for 1 1/2 hours after the game

I wait for traffic to die down

Plus the garage I park in is one block from the HOV lane

Because of that I was hoping for the same design, but they didn't. I guess they wanted everyone to see the skyline instead.

Not sure about this but I think they would be on local TV regardless?????? Only reason I question it is I have been in cities with NFL teams on game day who did not sell out and were still on their local TV stations. Imagine if they couldn't show the Pirates unless it was sold out:) That would kill the 6 people who watch them.

For the first time ever this past week being I'm on the season ticket wait list I received an email saying the away team did not use all of their allotted tickets, so tickets were available to purchase directly from the Steelers. Seemed there were a lot of tickets available.

Back when I was on the list that used to happen pretty often depending what team it was...

But they are always like Upper End Zone Upper Corner and the bleacher seats....

Got it. I've been on the list since like 2010 or so and 1st time I've seen it. There was some down lower in the open end zone corner, away lower side line, and then upper deck corner as you mention.

Concessions and restrooms are so bad at Heinz (Acrisure) that the 3rd qtr looks half empty. I commented on that in the game day thread. My son and I go away games and it seems so much more organized. I also notice that a ton of fans just stand in the concourse areas instead of sitting in their seats. Noticed that yesterday as well. I'm sure attendance was again 65,000 + but there were a ton of empty seats.

One of my main comments when talking with friends who bash the yellow seats is when I go to games ppl leave at halftime and dont come back till midway thru the 4th qtr due to exactly what you described.

For me, the tailgating alone is a tremendous highlight that is worth walking through fire for. But that is just me. JMO>
