I have seen him dunk the ball over it many times...At 38 I can still get to 11 Foot of the ground...Surely with his speed and momentum he can do better than that....

Not only that but somehow catch the ball with his fingertips and still manage to come down in bounds. Considering he was right at the back of the endzone, he'd have to jump straight up, snatch that thing out of the air and come straight back down so he lands in bounds. But hey, even if he didn't catch it, at least he tried, OH YAAAYYY! I'm so happy now, all is right in the world Mikey tried :clapping:

BS... I played college basketball and stand 6'2 and could never get a foot over the rim.. BTW you're adding 3 feet arms to his 6 foot height for a starting point of 9 feet.. Very misleading and accurate.. You first have to subtract the foot from the armpit to the top of the head.. Making his reach over his head at most 2 feet and I'd bet closer to a foot and a half.. Meaning his real starting point before adding his vertical is about 7 and a half to 8 feet, not 9 feet..

As I have posted in two other threads... those two combined for 17 of the 36 TDs the Steelers made in 2011. I'm not saying what Wallace is worth, but since he scores more than AB and he's not worth $50M then I doubt AB is worth $50M. There's just not a fair debate here.

And as far as Mendy goes... people tend to forget he's a big reason the Steelers made it to the playoffs, last year. They say he hasn't done much, this year... Like he didn't go down with an ACL that didn't allow him to come back, at the beginning of the season. And he then had an achilles that took him back out.

It's like I've said... if you're not the flavor of the month then you don't belong on the 53-man roster.

    This is absolutely insane. :lolol:

LOL.. As a matter of fact I am.. 11 feet off the ground is still a monumental feat for a 6 foot dude.

I could not catch it now 20 years ago maybe....But that 6 FT is 4 yards before the end line the ball is on its way down ..Stop the video at 8 Seconds and the ball is about 1 foot at most above the Goal post when it goes out...Further proof is it lands less than 5 yards out of bounds as the sound guys are 5 yards away maning the ball was definately coming down when it crossed the boundary..

You are correct..I have seen some guys with major Hops...I could only dunk with 1 hand,I tried to dunk 1 yesterday morning and I missed it...Anyway so maybe I can only get to 10 Feet now,but todays guys are a lot more athletic than we where....And that ball looks to be catchable to me,,if I where Wallace....

In the Browns game... Batch threw behind Wallace. Wallace tried to slow himself to catch a ball that basically hit him in the arse. He ended up bobbling it, but the CB made a play. Wallace tried to tackle the catch, but a linebacker had to knock Wallace away.

But you guys are right... Wallace should be able to tackle an LB and CB, at the same time. :lolol:

And you guys aren't mentioning that Tomlin himself has said he doesn't see Wallace giving anything less than 100% effort.

And let's be clear... I take Tomlin's analysis, over you guys. :lolol:

Jumping while running at the speed he runs at would have sent him sailing out of the back of the end zone, anyway.

Exactly. Even if he got a FINGER TIP on that ball, he would have landed in the sound guys lap himself. I think people are pissed he didn't go up and put on a show for it. Catching it was impossible.

This is it for me on this subject..

I would have loved to seen him go as high as he could and jumped parallel to the end zone and extended for the ball ...No way will we ever know how that would have turned out....1 thing the QB would know is that Wallace will give maximum effort and I think he needs to prove that to his QB and his Team....Tomlin can say he is giving Maximum effort ,but when you fall on the depth chart I don't buy that...

Get a Offensive pass Interference fighting for the ball if it's going to be picked, get your self dirty diving to make the catch if it's low, give double effort if the ball clanks your hands keep fighting try and double or triple catch it....Anyway this is how I feel about Wallace he has a ton oif talent ,but is not willing to hone that talent....Thats it for me on this subject for this week...I hope he plays better this week...

Just because he fell on the depth chart doesn't mean Tomlin isn't telling the truth about his effort. His falling on the depth chart is due to lack of results, Tomlin has said that he is under performing.

The ball wasn't remotely catchable but we will never agree on that.

You see, rukus, you're forgetting the summer debates here where it was decided that Tomlin doesn't try either. Because he doesn't shout and jump around on the sideline. So he can't be a good coach.

so if we are all wrong and Tomlin's analysis is what you prefer. than why are you making such a case. wasnt it Tomlin that demoted him and Mendy. cant have it both ways.

Believe me, I'm not giving Batch a pass (no pun intended) on that play, but at least give it an effort. Don't just stand there and look stupid.

It would have been fine for him to jump, but the ball wasn't catchable.

And not only does Tomlin say Wallace is giving no less than 100%, he also said that the reason he's not producing is due to a "number of factors." A good number of those factors are the QBs under- and over-throwing him.

And nobody is answering where the Wallace TDs will come from if the Steelers get rid of him. AB isn't proving he can do it.

Picking and choosing which to reply to, I see. You didn't reply to may last direct question to you.

I'm not questioning Tomlin's decision. I am taking his word that Wallace is giving 100% over your word that he is not. Wallace was still on the field.

    Next.

im not saying AB is perfect or a finished product, but he is a much better all around wr than Wallace. you keep going back to the fact that Wallace leads them in td's for wr's and if hes gone who picks up that slack. AB and Sanders. those guys are going to get their td's.

i also wouldnt go as far as saying Wallace has swagger. he looks like he barely has any confidence let alone swagger.

i think you are taking my disappointing in Wallace's performance this year as not liking the guy. i do like him and thinks he opens things up for all the other guys on the team, but he is NOT performing like a #1 wr or a guy that deserves 50 million.

i know he leads the wr's in tds, but he is 4th on the team in 1st down catches and hes 3rd in YAC with Sanders and Redman not far behind. that is for the guy that is supposed to catch the ball and be able to make plays and out run everyone. sure he had that one catch and run that was spectacular, but those have been very rare. tough to make those plays when you cant catch the ball.

i also like all our players, but when a guy holds out and then underperforms i have a problem with that.

and yes Dwyer should have just tackled Reed. i was screaming at the tv.

Yeah and Tomlin didn't see anything wrong with Lefty's throws in the first Rats game.
