Me too, but it is very unlikely.

    1. They are Steelers and the HOF voters already think there are "too many Steelers" already in the hall. This is why LC Greenwood has been denied entry for years.
    2. Hines doesn't have great numbers compared to other HOF WRs of his era.
    3. Deebo has a bad rep in the NFL due to his hard hitting style.

Hines may not have the stats to put him up there with some of the greatest WRs to play the game and that may keep him out of the HOF. But if the HOF is truly looking for the greatest football PLAYERS of all time, Hines should be a shoe-in. His game transcended the receiver position.

I think he belongs in the HOF for the Super Bowl play alone. And I also think it’s a crock of crap that that play was only number 9 on the greatest plays in Super Bowl history list.

Tomlin wasn’t honest with him on playing time so he went to our nemesis. Certainly wish he went to a different team but I don’t blame him for leaving. Tomlin sucks

His legacy was bigger than Tomlin and he ruined it. Yes, Tomlin sucks and did him dirty. But how he forced his way out. Going to the Patriots to try to help them tie us in Super Bowls. Getting into the ear of other players like AB and making our locker room and roster worse after his departure. If it was like one or two things maybe I’d let it go. But the combination of all those facts, nah. He can’t get a pass and shouldn’t be celebrated. I’d rather celebrate Hines, Polamalu, and Ben for what they did. They wanted to still play but couldn’t imagine putting on another uniform. You let Harrison slide and it starts a precedent. Where players know they can leave and still be celebrated when the dust settles. AR2 has already opened that window with not cutting Harrison off completely. Organization is becoming a joke. One of those organizations where you can have a few good seasons then bounce around and comeback and claim the Steelers. Basically like what Haden did with the Browns. Like nah, you have to be a Steeler for life unless under certain circumstances. Harrison did way too much on his way out to be given a pass. Already let him go to the Bengals and get paid and comeback.

Casual what? Fans? Unless you’re being paid by the NFL or one of the 32, you are a casual. If you’re not, you’re wasting your life on things you have no control over.

Hines - Superbowl Mvp/ 2sb rings/probably the most physical wr and rule changer.

Deebo - His body of work speaks for itself.
Def player of the year, one of superbowls greatest performances, most feared ... also, a rule changer!

Besides all their stats and awards, Hines should be in for making every defense cry about being hit too hard by him and Harrison for the greatest 100-yard interception return run in history along with sucking an oxygen tank dry when he made it to the bench afterwards.

    Congrats to both !!

He may not have departed the best of ways, but if it weren't for him, the Patriots would have passed us in SB rings. JMO>

Didn't Woodson go in as a Steeler? Won his SB with the Ravens IIRC.

I just find it odd that you obsess over this, yet ignore the domestic abuse.

But, didn't Kevin Greene, leave us and go to the panthers, after leaving the rams, to come to us?! Smh. All deebo wanted to do ... is play! Joey Porter and Big O, were great players. But, suck as coaches!
