Pull this leg it plays jingle bells ! Only thing fixing this defense is 75% new players and 100 % new coaching tell me I’m wrong they have stunk for years

Because they are inept at game plans and drafting and talent add it all up it’s it’s called Suckville get use to it. Sure they can hang against other **** birds against relevant teams they will get embarrassed.

That’s nice, but try this one on for size.

This is the story of Hardini
The guy who couldn’t get a hard weenie.
    He pulled and stroked it.
And sometimes he even soaked it.
As that tiny thing lay there in his hand it was at this time he started to understand
The only way this little thing was getting hard was two popsicle sticks and a rubber band.

The thing is we were smothering them game 1 when we played them. Almost all passes were contested. What happened since then?

They should've listened to me in the last draft :hehehe:, I was pimping Tariq Woolen to the Steelers, he's starting for Seattle and I think he has 4 interceptions. They could've drafted him in the mid rounds.

Well, Heyward is old and TJ is coming off a serious injury, of course they will be rotated out.

I think I wasn't clear: The top paid defense has so much money sunk into a few players who are rotated so often that they give up 37 points.

It took a bunch of geniuses to create this situation where rotation of a handful of players causes 37 points for the other team.

Let me guess you were captain of your JV high school football team as a senior. Now your hall monitor of a forum and pretend to be an important person who takes life way to serious. I’m sorry they didn’t promote you at the toll booth you work at but get over yourself douchebag. Unless of course you’d like to get me an address and we can talk about it in person !!

Arthur Maulet can not be brought back. I dont know of any time I've seen him in pass coverage and he's been good. He's solid against the run and in blitz packages. He cant be trusted otherwise. It still boggles my mind why he wasnt getting any help against Higgins, but he's not very good against any receiver. He and Spillane are the absolute worst.

Could anybody tell me if there is a ILB in draft or FA that can cover a RB/ TE. I don't want
no Hybrid 220 lb lb's. I want 240 pound lb's that can also shed OL. I am very interested
as should the steelers front office.

The 3 Musketeers will fix him :lolol:

Maulet, Witherspoon, Pierre and and add Wallace all are sub par if not awful.

Wallace is the only keeper by a hair.

The only above average corner, home grown is Sutton. But alas he is a UFA after the season. And he is not going to take peanuts to stay.

16 years of Tomlin and only Gay and Sutton were the keepers. 16 years.

That's why they go to the outside but that hasn't been a rosy picture either sans Haden and Nelson.

    https://steelersdepot.com/2022/04/study-what-the-steelers-look-for-in-drafting-cornerbacks-2022/

They need an upgrade for Moore in the 1st. But if a stud corner is there you have to take a hard LOOOOONG look.

But can they be trusted to grab one? Or 2? Hoping that Omar and Weidl can bring some respectable corners into the mix.

Oregon has a LB that I want to keep an eye on.
Noah Sewell, 6-3/251, brother of Penei Sewell

Big and fast and aggressive, seek and destroy type. LB's don't seem to be as glamorous picks as they used to be, but Pittsburgh needs to upgrade speed to the ball.
Sewell is a guy that could fill those needs and you can get him probably in 2nd.

I have been keeping my eye on him also. The big question to all personnel people, can he cover Rb's and TE's halfway decently. We have 3 liabilities playing the position now. Please Steelers get Mark Robinson on the field to see what we have.

I believe the answer is talent, or lack thereof. Glenn had a link in his Ejection thread that had an article covering this exact question.
