What about the first half ? Just cherry pick what you want.
Find another rookie that is better in his 7th game with this OL .
Be careful what you wish for, things could be much much worse.

And exactly how many other rookies do you seem to think played with this OL

That made no sense, Im saying what the hell else is a better option?
He is a rookie with a bad team and he is playing pretty well, but if people want to run him outta town, see how much worse it can get.

" He is playing pretty well " lol...No he's not, he's playing terrible...The other parts around him are playing bad, the OC sucks, Tomlin sucks...But to say he is playing " pretty well " is not true . He's playing like S***

What made no sense ? What other rookie would be doing this well ? That is the Steelers situation at the moment.
Forgot Pickett should be an all pro already .

"Playing terrible" is a gross exaggeration, imo, as well as saying he's playing great. The answer is in the middle. He's done some good things and some bad things. First he was blasted for being an interception machine and in that department he's been clean the last two games.
There's a whole lot of room for improvement but to be quite honest, I find it truly baffling how many people are already determined to write Pickett off as a bust. This seems absolutely ludicrous to me. I can't think of one rookie QB who lit the league on fire and then sustained that. Some want so badly to be right about the bad as well as the good with Pickett that their judgement is completely clouded. I don't get it.

This. I get that it’s not perfect, but it’s hard to expect Pickett to come in and be as good as prime years Ben within a small handful of games. Idc how old he is, he is a rookie who played for Pitt last season. This is a huge step up in compete level and there are going to be growing pains. He has shown some really good things, and still has things he has to work on. I like his demeanor and mindset. He seems to anticipate well most of the time. He has a propensity to hold onto the ball a bit and run himself into a sack or two from time to time. Had some int issues early, but last two weeks has looked a lot better in that department.

His playmakers need to help him some too. Pickens had a td drop and another one he fell over adjusting to (that one would’ve been called back but still. Freiermuth dropped a first down ball and Najee Harris did the same. Both were perfectly thrown balls. If they can make more of those plays his stats would look even better. We just haven’t made the plays when they matter this year.

The future of this team will depend on what his second year leap forward looks like. I hope he elevates his play even further. Get in good experience this year and come out next year looking good.

That’s the point. One half doesn’t make a game. Yay he threw td pass to a wide open receiver. It only took 5 games

Yeah, I have never seen an overthrown pass in an NFL game on someone wide open. Kenny should get no credit.

I don’t see the athletic ability in his throws particularly compared to other highly rated rookies over the years

For QBs in the I would say the best QB in league is Mahomes (Andy Reid influence) and next tier down is Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Hurts, and Tua; in no particular order; with Lawrence and Geno Smith on rise up to that tier.

Kenny still has to accurately throw the ball deep; something he has not been able to do all season up to that point. For the touchdown to count, he has to connect. I agree it was not a thing of beauty but I do agree it was a step in the right direction for young Kenny.

    I mean..

As I have been saying all year; Matt Canada getting jettisoned at the end of the year is the most likely outcome at this point. Kenny also does take some blame for this as well; namely some missed throws but he still is a rookie in a disadvantageous situation; doubly so on his Offensive Line. If anything, any form of experience Kenny has at this point, be it good or bad, will serve him well.

How he finishes out 2022 though will be more telling to me.

I think many of our fans are have aggressively high expectations of a rookie QB on a team grossly under talented. Too many cannot remember the 80's & 90's struggles before Big Ben.

I watched the entire game and can see those bad throws that everyone points out, but he had some good throws as well. I think KP is progressing just fine. No sugar coating, he has room to improve but so does the whole entire offense (and defense). We scored 30 points..... and lost. I attribute the loss more to the defense making Perine look like a HOF'er than KP struggling.
