Edmunds is paid peanuts and we are getting what we pay. I’m still upset that we passed on Hufanga who was drafted in the 5th round. The kid was trained by Polamalu and plays like Polamalu.

 

None of them figured out that it might be a good idea to give whoever was covering Higgins some help.

 

Jack sucked yesterday, too. I thought the inside linebackers had been decent of late, but they were horrid yesterday.

 

It was shameful to give up 37 points on defense.

Would like to know why we could not cover their receivers.

 

The O stinks, but there are various reasons for that. Inexperience (oldest starter is 26); bad OC; lots of new faces who haven’t played together before.

The D has been nearly as bad and there’s no excuse there. They’re paid a fortune, the team has a ton of defensive coaches and they’re a veteran group. They’ve been very underwhelming.

 

The whole corner room can be replaced as far as i'm concerned. Except Sutton who low and behold is a UFA after this season. Wallace out of all of the others I would keep but that's not saying much.

Don't know about Jackson III yet due to the back injury.

The corners are now a priority. If the pass rush doesn't get there you need some better then average players. A stud FA. They got Haden and Nelson. Drafting and waiting has worked out with Sutton and he will be gone. That's one!

Bush needs to go and take Edmonds with you.

An OLBer that can come in and actually do something to spell the bookends and if one goes down can play above the line.. Reed isn't it.

They will have some money coming off the books next season. Corner is a major priority.

 

They had excuses most of the season. The starters hadn't been together since Week 1. Even then, Kazee was out. They had everybody but Witherspoon yesterday and they still sucked.

 

Nah problem was the lack of Pigeons is what killed the defense.

The inability to mark Higgnis and tackle Peron were embarrassing.

But let's be honest, the offense had to do more in the third quarter. At least get some first downs. We were never going to hold the Bengals to no scores in the second half. We could have put some more pressure on them by going two scores up, rather than consecutive three and outs.

 

We have a top paid OLB and FS. I don't know if Heyward is a top paid DL. But we need a stud DL and ILB. We have serious problems drafting stud corners, so I would rather go ILB and DL.
