I think the o-line deserves some props. I believe that they only gave up 2 sacks. On quite a few plays Batch had a lot of time to throw. :applaud:

Oline gave Batch some time and played real good. They're only going to get better too.

Imagine what Ben could have done to them if he had that much time to throw the ball!

So what happens now? How long does Pouncey stay at LG and Legursky at C?

I think Pouncey should be starting at LG permanently, Leg stays at center, both played very well yesterday, pouncey at guard permanently is fine with me.....

I think our o-line has the chance to become dominant by next season

I thought they had the chance to be dominant before the season started....then the injuries came. I agree with you ^. Look out when they are healthy..

I agree with you Diamond. At the end of the game I was reflecting on the Oline play and I too came to the conclusion that legs should take center and leave pouncey at guard

As much as I like Legs and as much as I'll continue to proclaim him as a bonified NFL starting Center when colon is healthy he (pouncey) has to return to center. Pouncey is the better center and Colon is the better OG. When DD returns, this year, does he replace foster or does he sit the bench? Next years camp WILL produce the best Steelers OL in YEARS!!!

    Same here.

Just wondering...for those that want to keep Pouncey at LG, what do you want to do with Colon when his knee is good to go?

cut him , trade him, who cares? colon ain't very good at guard. this just amazes me that you all think colon is a good guard. i saw plays being made on the outside and upfield by the guy that took his place. thats what i want to see more of. it's not going to happen with colon. we can do better, alot better. i wanna see max, pouncey, legs,DD,adams this year. adams,DD,pouncey, barrett jones, gilbert the next 10 years.

Lets not forget it was Willie Colons missed block that got Ben hit.

scratching my head here a bit .. Foster has been stellar and if training camp where to start today I am not sure DeCastro unseats him ( that is actually a good problem to have ) not intended to be a knock on DeCastro because he has the tools to be special , he just is not special yet at this level

You want to cut Colon now? That's what you're saying?

Cut him before June 1st and it's a 6.5 dead money charge for 2013, after June 1st and it's 4.3 in 2014 if I'm correct. I don't really see that happening. It could, but I'd be a little surprised. I'm glad it's not my job to make a quarter out of two dimes.

Is he a pro-bowl caliber Guard right now? Nope. Is he as bad as you're making him sound? Not in my opinion. He's improved as the season's progressed.

When do you think Adams comes back?

Pouncey is a better pulling guard than colon because he's quicker and that's about it. I saw pouncey miss a block when pulling and I saw him get beat when trying to hold his ground. That doesn't make him a bad OG as overall he had a good game. Colon is a better OG overall as he's more stoudt at the point of attack and as TTF pointed out he is improving every game as the season progresses.

Last year there wasn't much difference of the level of play at OG between Legs and Foster but look at what Foster is doing this year as compared to last. Now if Colon keeps improving as he is currently showing he is able to do what caliber of OG will he be next year? He can already play RT. Why in the world would some-one him gone and no, he doesn't play like kemo, that's just being mean.

Speakiing of RT, who would have guess we'd have a problem there with TOO MANY RTs on the squad. Colon, though currently @ LG, Adams, Gilbert and look at the job Beechum did. Everyone wants to praise Pouncey at LG and Legs @ "C" but Beechum was the real star. He had to go against Paul Kruger and whatever OLBer blitzing in his 1st start as a rookie and wasn't he drafted in the 7th. Talk about value, look at the job done in comparison with our other two RTs who were both drafted in the 2nd RD. I guess people on here will want one of them moved to LT next year and cut Starks loose. This would be a mistake in my opinion.

I don't believe he's 100% and in game shape just yet. A couple more weeks and we should know if Foster keeps his spot for the remainer of the season and playoffs.

we are 12 games into the season. when is it he will get faster? when is it he will be there? he has 12 games under his belt at that position, but you want to say how pouncey had 2 mistakes when he's played it for 1 game?

yes i want the whole right side gone next year. we have suffered through this way to long. we deserve a better run game and passing game with the talent we have at the skill positions.

why all this colon love? what has he done here? he took max's job on the right side which shows max can't play there and then colon lost that job because he wasen't as good as a soft rookie. only to move both of them to the left side. a harder spot and more important spot.

our run game stinks this year, they are a big reason why. we run up the middle more than any other team in the league. by a bunch too. there is a reason. our guards can't get on the perimiter.

max is bad at run blocking too. thats why he couldn't play RT mostly. that's why we ran to the right more then ever after he was moved. it was because he was now on the left. i'm sticking by my assessment that colon is no better a guard than kemoeatu. i remember when everyone thought he was a good G too. i didn't from day one i went through this same thing then. it's holding our offense back.
