I wasn't talking about 2016 season. I'm talking everything after that. 5 seasons without a postseason win and going on 6. And I'm not as optimistic (read: delusional) as you to think that this season will be any different.

And in the stretch you called out, there was a postseason win. I clearly called out the longest stretch without a postseason win. We are in it now. It's never happened to the steelers before so that makes it historic.

I mis stated 7 years. It is 6 years. My bad. But that doesn't change the main point.

You said 7 years on more than one occasion?

Yes, you're right. I meant 6. The point remains. We're currently in the worst postseason win drought in SB era in steelers history.

I like the way he added "in the superbowl era" later.

Oh FFS Glenn. Yes, I was wrong on the 7. You satisfied now?

I wasn't wrong about the fact the steelers are in their worst postseason win drought. But way to ignore the point of the whole conversation. Pedantic AF

That was the premise from the beginning. Ignoring the point because you don't like it doesn't make it untrue.

That's fine if you wanna make that point. At least be accurate in making your point.

Not sure what you're talking about. That was my premise from the beginning. But whatever. You know I'm right and keep grasping at whatever thread you can to try and discredit what I'm saying.

Look Knox all I could do is go by what you wrote. You want to change it later fine whatever it’s all there for everyone to see.

I'd settle for a time out being available at the end of a close game.

Man, I'm just not understanding why a couple of you guys are trying to come at me like rabid spider monkeys. This team is bad. Bad on a lot of fronts. Pretty sure we all agree about that. Coaching is bad, playcalling is bad, execution is bad, offense is bad, defense is bad. I said the steelers are in a bad postseason win drought. That really isn't disputed. I misstated 7 but meant 6. We are in year 6 without a postseason win. I tried to walk that back and you guys want to kick me in the balls for that. WTF.

This postseason win drought is the worst in my lifetime and I'm well over 50. Just be clear so there isn't any misunderstanding, in my opinion, this is the worst steelers team I've ever seen and it has steadily been getting worse for several years.

Disagree if you wish. Pick it apart, nitpick any, all, or no words in this post, choose whatever narrative you want, I don't care at this point. I'm going to vote and do my civic duty. Peace out.

Your premise from the beginning was, worst 7 year span in Steeler history. Then, it was worst span in your lifetimes ( that's possible. I don't know when you were born). Then, you changed it to worst span in the SB era.

Dude I meant 6 not 7. I made a mistake. I'm done trying to explain it. Have a good one.

I don't think the current team is as bad as the teams from 1985-1988. Those teams were awful. But the '22 Steelers could very well could get there.

Okay, smart sh-t, just trying to say that for everyone who says that Tomlin has not having had a loosing season (this year for sure), it's not because of Tomlin but because of Ben. What's so hard to understand about this, now no Ben and we have a loosing season, but we still have Tomlin. Said many times in the past that we will see how bad Tomlin is when Ben is gone. What do you see now. lol :smiley1:

No, thats not what I was saying at all. But when someone says what do we have to be grateful for out of the last 10 years, yeah, that strikes me as very spoiled and ungrateful.

Would love for some of these people too experience being a Brown or Jets fan.

The gigantic difference between those two periods is the latter had a HOF quarterback and the former was Magnum PI and Bubby.

I understand the frustration. Steelers had a good Super Bowl window for 5 seasons... '14-18 and don't have anything to show for it. The Steelers underachieved, obviously. Steelers and Patriots were the top teams in the AFC during that time. Now it's the Bills and Chiefs and that's not going to change any time soon, which sucks for us.
