sometimes i wonder how much people on this board actually watch football. Willis was terrible, they don't trust him to run an actual NFL offense which is why he has thrown less than 30 passes in two NFL starts. You can't win playing this way. He can't read a defense. He's like a poor mans tim tebow. Kenny Pickett hasn't been good, but even so he is miles ahead of Willis

He looked scared last night. If you can, go back and watch the game. Focus on his face before each play. That’s not the level of confidence we need from a starting QB

There is another option that is much more likely, which is that Tomlin liked Pickett better. I have a hard time believing that Colbert stuck Tomlin with the quarterback he didn't want on his way out the door. You are familiar with the concept of the smokescreen, right? Make a fuss over a player you don't want so it is more likely a team ahead of you will take that guy instead of the one you want? I know many folks here don't want to give Tomlin that much credit, but I think that's exactly what happened.

To be clear, I'm not saying Tomlin didn't like Willis at all. Say Pickett had been gone and they took someone like Dax Hill, Devin Lloyd, or Devonte Wyatt in the first round, then Pickens in the second. I can imagine they would have taken Willis in the third round under those circumstances.

Willis was thrown into a difficult situation. I think the mistake Titans made on a possible Superbowl contending team is not having a seasoned backup if Tannehill went down (i'm not sold on Tannehill, but that is a Titans choice). As for Pickett, with little running game, it's on him or any other Steelers quarterback. I do believe, the OC needs to go. For whatever reason, the WRs have ricochet hands, seem to not come back for the ball or move to an open area when the quarterback is running for their lives looking to throw the ball.

An OC just became available...Colts fire Head Coach Frank Reich

Picks 1-16. And Campbell is pretty good at this stuff. He has history to back up he's projections.

Considering he had Malik Willis and Matt Corral as potential first rounders I think that's all I need to know about this guy. He'd fit quite well on the Steelers scouting staff.

Isn't it amazing that all running Qbs have no weapons, or so We are told.....You don't find that in the least bit curious????
I won't go back very far, and keep it recent.
I heard, and was told Cam Newton never had Wrs his whole career.... Lamar Jackson somehow He never has wrs. Now it's Willis. Curious....Hmmm:hmm:

I think they both preferred Pickett and so did I and still do. I also don’t think Tomlin has the power others think he does. He’s 1/3rd of the decision making tree.

Were their receivers doing anything with Tannehill playing? Based on a quick look at their statistics, the answer is no. Willis isn't good, but neither are the Titans' receivers.

I'm not talking about Just them as You can see in what I posted....., but since You brought it up....they magically look a hell of a bunch better with Tannehill out there, and I think Tannehill sucks...., but You know I wasn't just talking about Tennessee

I was specifically asking about them, because they aren't good with anybody out there. Sure, they are worse with Willis. He isn't even close to being ready, but let's not act as if they are some great group of receivers that suddenly turns unproductive just because Willis is in there. It is absolutely fair to point out that he doesn't have much help at receiver.

EDIT: I just caught part of the replay of last night's game and they pointed out just how bad the Titans are at receiver. They entered this week's games last in the league in receptions and yards by wide receivers. I really can't believe that team traded away A.J. Brown and left themselves with such a ****show at receiver.

Newton had some good receivers at times. Other times he didn't. Jackson had Brown, who is decent.

Quarterbacks certainly make receivers better, but they do have to have some talent to work with. If you could provide examples of guys who sucked with those quarterbacks, then blossomed with other quarterbacks, your point might hold more weight.

Cotchery's best season was in 2007 with the Jets, who had Chad Pennington at quarterback. He was 25. He was 32 years old in his first season with Newton, and his numbers weren't down much from what he did the previous year with Roethlisbergber.

So no, he doesn't really fit your narrative. Try again.

Oh, the irony. Many of you calling for me to eat crow over Willis are citing his stats over 2 games of playing NFL QB as evidence that he sucks. You are the same people who told me that it was unfair to judge Kenny Pickett for his performance over his first 5 games.

So if you said it was "too soon" to judge that Kenny Pickett sucked over his first 5 games and are now using 2 games to declare that Willis is a bust, take a look in the mirror and call yourself a hypocrite.

You started all this because I said I find it curious running Qbs just never seem to have Wrs......and I name the last biggest 3.....Cam Newton, Lamar, and now Willis.....Do/did they , or do/did they not say that about everyone I've mentioned?????Yes, or No...

Just trying to understand why you wish we should’ve taken Willis either in the 1st or 3rd round. He hasn’t shown anything that would warrant that statement

You are trying to use small sample size as a reason to criticize others who disagree with you, yet you have created a thread advocating for a QB with only a few starts?

Who did Cam have to throw the ball to? Stephen Smith was the only real threat to burn a D deep in that offense.

Also, Malik Willis is a raw rook just filling in until Tanneyhill heals. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kenny first two games were better than willis.

Furthermore you want to admit who has a better running back? Are you aware how much Henry does? So yeah you could almost put any QB back there with Henry (except willis ).

So yeah, eat your crow like a grown up.

Assuming this Lava character is in the eastern time zone, he made his claim roughly one quarter into last night's game at 9:05. Brilliant.

Lava and SNOT are fans of other teams that troll here for their simple-minded jollies. They'd be just as happy with an empty Amazon box or something shiny.
