Exactly that's why Redzone Redman never reached potential a Power runner forced to run behind zone blocking ... DHB 1 of the fastest players in the NFL hardly ever used to go deep,,what few times they tried it had success.. Even his little end arounds had success.. DD looked great in that 1 pre season running and throwing on the run until Coach T stated we know he can do that he needs to stop running... You can't make a pure pocket passer out of Athletic Mobile QB'S...

The point being any mobile QB would be crap with our current staff .. This includes the elites like Mahomes,Allen and the other mobiles as the OC'S for those guys design concepts that Defenses have a hard time stopping using the QB'S extra skills...Heck the Bills call QB Power or QB sweep most of the time against any Cover 2 or more ...

Willis is Lamar - but with a worse arm and no ability to read the field at all. Lamar stinks as a passer but he’s still worlds better than Willis.

Willis is a great athlete but he’s super raw even for a rookie.

Hey Mash, not doubting your acumen on the subject, but how did you know what MT was or wasn't going to do with our #20 pick? Was this something you read or heard? I don't follow media so I wouldn't know myself. I thought Mitch was going to be a bridge to nowhere, it appears, until we found someone else to carry the torch and be the face of the franchise. I certainly didn't think he was anything but a gap filler. But here is when MT, to me, re enters Crazy Town. After signing KP and already having Mitch and Mason, we draft another QB in the 7th and doesn't even put the guy in any of our preseason games. WTF? I can think of other positions that we could have taken a better chance. I don't agree the last round is a throw away or we wouldn't bother with UDFA's. JMO>

Is just how I "feel". Sorry if I made it sounded like the media came out saying something.

And I agree with that 7th round pick. Only thing I can possibly think of is he was hoping it could be a QB too take rudolph spot to getting him off the books for cap savings.

Even Rodney Harrison said Titans have no threats at Recievers and the 3 drops were game changing.

Proper play calling would really help Willis and that he’ll be fine in the NFL.

That's fine. I trust your instincts and you're probably right anyway. I just don't do any social media, except here, or 99% of tv which just pisses me off. Thanks.

Did you watch the game? Willis sucks, he looks so raw, their receivers had no receptions.

The Steelers weren't that interested in Willis, the media just ran with that story because of Tomlin/Colbert at Willis pro day.

Somebody lied to you and told you KP was projected be a top 10 pick?? Must have been somebody from the Steelers scouting or drafting staff....of course they've been on the ball the last 10 years. I'm not a Tomlin hater by any means (actually more of a supporter), but if he had the man crush you say he did over Pickett then his career should live and die by that pick.

Willis is not as fast as Jackson. He is elusive and he has good speed, but not on that level.

On the other hand, no, he does not have a worse arm than Jackson. Willis has a fantastic arm. That is not his issue. You are right that he can't read the field and he is nowhere near Jackson's level. Jackson at least makes good reads on where to run. Willis has a ways to go there, too.

He is probably thinking of the many mock drafts that had the top quarterbacks being overdrafted, including quite a few that had Pickett gone in the top 10.

Here is one that had Pickett going No. 2 overall. They had Willis going No. 7 and the Steelers trading up to No. 12 to take Matt Corral. Oops.

Looks good? ugh Dude is hitting on exactly 40 percent of his passes. He has Derrick Henry to carry the ball and he is the reason they're winning anything NOT Willis.

    1. 5 for 16, 80 yards....great game
    2. Tomlin liked him a lot. So either Tomlin has all the power and just chooses to draft people he doesn't like as much or he doesn't have the power people think he has.

He was 5 of 16 for 80 yards yesterday. He is in no way being asked to carry his team like Pickett is.
The Titans are playng "Steelers" football, unlike our team.

Admittedly I didn't read through 3 pages of this nonsense. The only reason TN was even in the game yesterday and the reason they won last week is Derrick Henry and the OL. You don't want Willis throwing the ball. He has more tackles than he has TDs.

If we had gotten him in the 3rd I wouldn't hate it because that would have meant we used earlier draft picks for other positions that, IMO, were higher need. And as a backup it isn't bad. But acting like Willis was a better choice than Pickett is a joke. And I hated the Pickett pick in the 1st.
