When you're 2-6 you take the second round pick, Pickett still have enough weapons on offense.

And he drops the deep ball when it mattered. I like his effort but he is lacking in ball skills

Diontae, Muth, and Sims will probably see an increased role.

I get that, but I think you also have to think of the improvement of the entire team. The 2nd-round pick was just too good to pass up.

    Well

Muth would be excellent in the middle of the field

Well if we had an OC who thought that part of the field should be used

I think we will win Atlanta and saints game. So maybe a top ten pick.

They still have the Colts and Panthers. I'm guessing they win one or two more division games, too. Assuming Watt returns and the offense makes at least a little progress, seven or eight wins isn't unrealistic. If the defense had been healthy, there is a very real chance they would be 4-4 and fighting for a playoff spot.

Yep if we had our defense we are about to have, I think 4-4 would be us. So yeah, probably 4 more wins. Because steelers are not a tanking team.

The value they received in exchange for him now likely wouldn't have been realized at seasons end. You need to also consider injuries. What if Claypool had an injury that required offseason surgery? Then his values dips to the point where the Steelers would likely let him hit F/A and take the compensatory pick. By trading him when they did, the Steelers had some control over the value they received for him. The way I look at it. Trading Claypool could very well end up helping Kenny IF the Steelers do the right thing by drafting a quality tackle/center and a guard and hopefully those two plus Daniels and Cole or some other combination can become a solid offensive line. Nothing personal against the Bears and their fans but we now need to root for them to lay eggs the rest of the year, lol.

I agree with everything You just said.
I was just thinking about right now, and how taking any weapons away from the rookie may effect Him.

It's "Let's trade all of our bad players for all of their good players and high draft picks." See? I'm a genius. I should have Khan's job.

So far it’s looking like an excellent trade. I hope he does well I like him. Just not sure what’s up with him the last couple years though.

I appreciated Claypool’s contributions to the team, even if he did have some occasional lapses in judgement. My biggest issue is that he has such physical gifts, yet never really takes over a game.

Unfortunately there is also a mental part of the game that he doesn’t have
