2 weeks ago many said that if the Steelers beat the Ravens with Leftwich it would have been the biggest win of Tomlin's career to be able to keep his squad motivated and competitive even with a back up QB. We nearly won that game and I believe we should of won. December 2nd 2012 : The Steelers faced the Ravens with a THIRD string QB, 37 years old too and IN BALTIMORE. We battled back from turnovers, deficits and took the win. Is this the biggest win of Tomlin's career and if it isn't can we say it is the most emotional and impressive win of his career? I'd say so.

Well, post-season wins are usually bigger. I'd take the divisional round win over the Ravens in 2010 season as his biggest win, considering how the team had to come back.

Regular season? 2010 opener vs Atlanta w/o Ben? 2008 vs Dallas? 2011 vs Pats?

Did they award the winner of tonights game with a Lombardi? If not then it is not the biggest win of his career. That is reserved for Super Bowl 43. The next biggest win will be when he lifts it again. My personal favorite though outside of the Super Bowl is probably the 08 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP. Check that. It's DEFINITELY the 08 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP.

If we are just talking regular season though let's say, with all the injuries and without Ben I'd say this was one hell of an impressive win. Especially when your injury report is better than most team's starting line ups.

I'd have to go with SB XLIII.

Biggest regular season win...we'll have to make some noise in the playoffs for today to pass our second game against Baltimore in 2008.

This is his biggest Roethlisberger-free win, though.

As I have mentioned earlier, this is one of the most stirring regular season wins I've seen the Steelers win in 40 years of watching. The 2010 game against the Ravens comes close, but in that case they were still headed to the playoffs even if they lose.

However, the postseason wins- which include a Super Bowl lest we forget - are WAY more big than this.

The reason why they won has much to do with character, and character starts with the coach. He outcoached Harbaugh today- how stupid was that challenge? the lack of timeouts killed the Ravens at the end.

It's not the biggest win of Tomlin's career. It was a huge win though. Especially beating the Ravens in there house with all of our injuries.

Not big if we lose to the bungles...in many ways, other than feeling great, this game wasn't as important as that game will be

Not bigger than the Superbowl win over Arizona, Tomlin's biggest win without Big Ben as qb though.

It has to be right up there with any of his biggest wins,
Depleted ranks and still won. Keep the intensity up.

I'm going to agree with both sides on this thread. While the post-season and Super Bowl wins are more important in his coaching career, I have to think this is the biggest REGULAR season win of Tomlin's career. He was motivational through the week, didn't panic, made some gutsy calls, and kept an even keel through all the turmoil. Hopefully this win is a momentum builder for the team and, as they get healthier, they can REALLY unleash h*ll on the NFL THIS December and January.

Had we lost this game, we would be behind the Bengals already. Make no mistake, this was a very important win.

Yeah, but either way we need to beat them. If we lost and beat them, then we'd have the tie breaker. If we lose to them, despite winning this, we're behind a game and the tie breaker gets complicated. Bottom line, we need to win that game more than any.

I dont think its the biggest win of his career. However, I will say, I really enjoyed seeing a more fired up Tomlin on the sidelines. Did it affect the game's outcome? Maybe, maybe not.
