What Scares Me

In the spirit of Halloween, let's talk about what Scares you about the Steelers going forward.

What scares me, is that Pickett isn't "it", and because the oc is obviously getting fired, and it's only his rookie season, we pass on a great QB this draft when we are in position to get one. If we are in position to get cj Stroud but we pass giving Pickett a chance to improve it might be the biggest mistake they can make.

I hope Pickett gets better, but he's 24 he doesn't possess a canon for an arm and he just isn't that physically gifted. There is a reason so many teams passed on him.

I guess if we get oline help, that is a positive, but I'm not sold on KP..at all.

You have to fire Canada now. We are wasting time and hurting KP. I'm sure anyone else could dig a little deeper into the playbook and call more appropriate plays at the teight times without even totally overhauling the offensive playbook.

Waisting more time with the OC would be crazy. He needs to be gone now and hire from outside the organization. Keep the playbook cor the most part but add just acouple of new wrinkles but change the way the plays are called. Get someone who can teach KP what to look for, when to audible, look for the hot route etc. You don't have to change the entire playbook this year, but you need to give KP time with a real offensive mind and see if he can improve.

I gave your post a dislike because I'm fine with losing the fair weather fans. We're just pruning out the bandwagon fans. That's not a bad thing.

 

That we keep this entire coaching staff....

 

Nothing will change until the Ownership grows a pair and retires Mike Tomlin.

As far as Canada is concerned, now isn't the time to change. What will screw KP up more, in my opinion, is him dealing with Canada, then a mid-season replacement, then again someone from the outside after the season making him have to deal with 3 OC's within several months. That I wouldn't wish on him at all. After the season, make a change and get all acclimated to whoever is the new offensive leader of this team. JMO>

 

Not at all it's just really bad and things have not been great lately under his leadership... Why is he in yours as you chase everyone around that does not like his coaching?

 

I don’t like his coaching, but I also don’t find a way to bring it up every chance I get.

Tomlin is 50 years old. He's not retiring. They can fire him or push for a resignation, but this won't go like the end of the Chuck Noll era.

 

Have you ever notice the ones who disagree with these type comments are also the same people who have Tomlin stuck in their head

I swear I truly believe that subconsciously some of these guys believe if they complain about Tomlin enough that it will make some kind of difference.
