    1. Jalen hurts and AJ Brown made the secondary look like a JV squad

    2. Najee needs to stop dancing and start trucking

    3. Right now, Jaylen Warren is the better runner

    4. The coaches are at a complete loss on every level

    5. Chase Claypool was the lone bright spot among the wr's

    6. Rumor has it that Matt Canada will be shown the door if we lose... (Keeping fingers crossed)

    7. Already scouting defenders in the next draft

    8. Presley harvin was consistently good

    9. Decent job by Boswell's replacement

    10. Window is closing fast on the season

perhaps, but sometimes playmakers make plays. AJ Brown is one of the best WR's in the game. That guy is tough for anyone to cover.

All Minkah had to do on that play was swat the ball away but instead he tries for the INT thus taking himself out of position. The whole team played terrible today outside of Cam Heyward. He always shows up.

I agree with your points but I believe the window is closed.

I just hope they let Andy Weidl work his magic and get these trenches in order as he was a big part of in Philly.

Once again, B&GP brings it. I agree with the whole list, especially #'s 2 and 3. Harris wastes too many yards trying to make people miss instead of planting his foot in the ground and getting what he can. Warren takes the hand off, finds a seam and runs through it as fast as he possibly can. I realize the offensive line deserves much of the blame for their poor ground game production. But so far this season, Harris has been a disappointment.

Brown is great, but that wasn't a matter of him making a better play than the other guys. Fitzpatrick was in the perfect position to intercept that ball. Brown should have never had a shot at it. Fitzpatrick overran it and gave the Eagles a touchdown. When he is in a position like that, he has to make that play.

Maybe the mistake wasn't taking a running back. Maybe it was taking the wrong one. It took over a year due to the torn ACL, but Etienne has been fantastic lately for the Jaguars.

To be clear, I'm not claiming I knew any better. I liked Etienne, but I wasn't calling for them to take him. This is pure hindsight.

Witherspoon is terrible. He was completely helpless against Brown. By the time they got him out of there, it was too late.

Fitzpatrick played very poorly today. At worst, he should have knocked that first touchdown away. He was in great position. That's a ball you'd like to see your All-Pro safety come down with, which would have been a big momentum-changer.

What did you think of Pickett today? I think he is pressing too much, but man, they are putting way too much of the offense on their rookie quarterback. I'm not even sure you can blame Canada for that. They couldn't run at all in the first half, and only draws when they were down double-digits made the numbers look even close to respectable.

Generally agree with the observations except 8

Harvin has not been consistently good, maybe for one game but I don’t think that means much nor should be given much importance

overall very disappointed in the coaching staff and Tomlin - they can’t get the most out of their players, are not proactive in making needed scheme and personnel changes (including changing coordinator duties) undisciplined with stupid penalties and missed challenge opportunities

troubled by Tomlin’s seeming dismissive statement on ‘fundamentals and things of that nature’ at halftime, like fundamentals are one of those annoying things we have to deal with ?

being without Ben and the other stars has revealed the ineptness of the coaches - yes we have holes, but we have talent too and we shouldn’t in no way shape or form be this bad

lastly going RB over o line in R1 to replace pouncey/AV is turning out to be a disaster

Well, hindsight makes us all great draft analysts, doesn't it? lol. I like Harris but I've been largely disappointed by him this season. Is this as good as he's ever going to be? I hope not. For the time being, I'd just as soon see more of Warren.

Taking two WR's this year was stupid. Pickens, fine. He's going to be a good one. Initially, I wasn't completely against the Austin pick. With the benefit of hindsight, it was stupid. I can't get where the urgency was to go WR'er with their 2nd and 4th picks.

As far as this team being poorly prepared, Pickett touched on it during an interview I saw on the local post game show. In a nutshell, his thoughts are that people aren't putting in the time necessary, thus the procedural and pre-snap penalties. He appeared very frustrated.

Exactly!! Just knock the ball down, alot of football left to play in that game. Mental mistakes today were terrible on many levels which to me comes down to the coaches getting the players prepared if not over prepared. You never see Bill B's teams really making so many mental errors.

Agreed presnap penalties are happening way too often and usually a gvien when we are at 20 starting a drive or when we get in the red zone. Also what is with our QB's (Ben did this too) with once we are say at the 15 and we can still get a 1st down we start forcing the ball into the endzone. Move the effing chains. The long bombs on 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 make me want to choke out the QB or the OC for those decisions.

You have to start with the trenches in this league. It's a passing league and if your line is swiss cheese its stupid. Drafting Najee was dumb (but was that nod to Rooney wanting to get back to running the ball) especially is your line sucks. Then we follow it up with an uncessary WR pick. We need overhaul the line with at least two new studs. That should have been done last year and this year. warren is proof you can find RB's later in the draft or even undrafted and we always find WR's. We need a new O line and need new blood on D-line. Our ex-boy Hargrave ate up our line today btw!!

So many mental mistakes. They had a procedural penalty on a punt. I can't remember exactly what the call was, but c'mon, man. It's like some of these guys are just going through the motions. It shouldn't be difficult this offseason weeding out who really wants to stay with this organization. There's a lot of dead wood to burn.

    1. The procedural penalties on all three phases show a lack of discipline that is damning for the coaching staff, particularly its leader

    2. Which is not helped by your rookie QB saying players need to study more, and taking it upon himself to fix those issues with the offense

    3. Warren is a better fit for running behind this line than Harris at this point

    4. The offense has had identity issues for years, but had enough talent and chemistry for Ben to fix it in the 4th

    5. The disproportionate attention given to the skill positions over the lines the last ~10 drafts was really on display today

    6. Johnson/Claypool/Pickens, Harris/Warren, and Frieirmuth provide more than enough talent to run an effective offense if properly game-planned

    7. Pickett has plus-plus leadership skills and upside in other areas, need to put him in a situation to better succeed

    8. He was gone by 1.21, but I really wanted Jordan Davis to plug the middle of this defense

    9. Witherspoon was at least in position to make plays, it's not enough, but easier to fix than not being in the same zip code

    10. Watt likely returns in two weeks

On Witherspoon and defending the pass that close, seems it’s a real skill knowing when to turn your head around to play the ball, (read the receivers eyes)

if Witherspoon does that he has a much better chance to defend the pass.

I thought it was on a kickoff. Maybe both? Mental errors are hurting an already hurting team. Penalties are way too many. Those sacks on KP were ugly encounters with 300 pounders. I was glad he was able to get back up. JMO>
