I took a closer look. I realize all you have may not be in the above pictures. I'm kind of PO'd this wasn't two years ago. I would have died happy knowing my stuff found a good home:) I had a great picture of the Times (is that even a magazine anymore:) ) Pittsburgh's Front Four/Half a Ton of Trouble. The faces of the four bums were below the headline. Have to admit I was one proud Mother F----- when that issue came out. Pretty sure we had 2 Super Bowls in the bag at the time. Some fine young lady made the coolest frame for it. I tried to show her how much I appreciated it but I never was Casanova and she may have fell asleep.

Anyhow I would have loved to see it in that awesome cave of yours. I asked the person who got it to send me a picture of his cave but nada. At least he sent my postage cost.

Same here. My Steelers stuff been boxed up for years. Just doesn't seem as important as I grow older.

Not sure of your situation but I posted for sale, free on Steeler, Pirate and Penguin sites. I just asked for postage to be sent back to me. All did. I hated for it to sit in a box under house. My son didn't want it so I was happy to give to the what I'm assuming is the younger fans.

Your last sentence, I really understand.

Yeah I was hoping to pass it onto my son but he has zero interest in sports. My plan is to list the stuff on eBay at some point.

I've never seen a game there and I think we're going to the SB every year.

Seriously, there's no shortage of threads for you to spew your sarcastic negativity on. Do us all a solid and leave it out of this one.

For me, it has nothing to do with growing older. My basement keeps me grounded. When I'm losing my sh!t about the team, just looking at some of the pictures and stuff I have with the memories behind them, puts a smile on my face. Tell me I'm living in the past. Maybe I am. I'm not a negative person by nature so if anything, as I get older I learn to let this teams shortcomings bother me less and less.

That's exactly the stuff I like to find. Things with some history behind it. Probably the only way I wouldn't have it all out is due to laziness if we moved. I sometimes think of ways I would like to change up my basement, kind of like @SteelerGlenn@SteelerGlenn or @Disco1981@Disco1981 but I don't have the heart to get rid of all my Steelers gear. Luckily, my kid is a big Steelers fan as well. He'll get all this sh!t when I kick the bucket.

I don't have room for a man cave because I have too much Steelers stuff- including over 1,000 autographed items accumulated over 47 years of collecting.
Here are a couple of favorites:

    1) Jimmy Allen's Super Bowl X game winner share check also signed by Art Rooney

    upload_2022-10-27_19-35-17.png

    2) This Steelers 8x10 signed by all- I have some nice photos of various names on here signing (Ben and Bradshaw in particular- also the smudge on the front is on the holder frame not on the photo itself)

Funny you mention him...A Trailer came out today called " The pale blue eye " starring Christain Bale...That is my Son Trey ( the one in the man cave picture ) behind Christain Bale!

The trailer came out today on You Tube, And I believe the actual movie comes on on December 23rd...

Luckily he got my All American looks! A lot of the movie was filmed at Westminster College ( 5 minutes from my House )

I get it! My relatives in CO almost all have basements. There are a few in CA. in Marin county, Malibu, Bel Air.........they're called wine cellars though!

Not a lot of basements in Arkansas....although a lot of storm shelters. ....In Chicago I didn't know anyone without a basement. Texas it mattered where You are, and Louisiana I didn't know anyone with one.
