Week 8 Steelers Predict the score game Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia RESULTS

Follow the rules below and make your prediction. I'll publish the results


after the game in a post on this thread. There will be 2 ways to win (a


weekly winner and a yearly winner).



This weeks Game is:



Pittsburgh vs Philadelphia



This week's tiebreaker is longest reception by the Steelers.

The rules are simple. Whoever predicts the correct winner with the


score closest to the actual score wins. For example if the score is


Pittsburgh 28 Cincinnati 21 The method of determining your score is


to take the value of the difference of your guess of the Pittsburgh score


and the value of the difference of your guess of the opponent score.


You also must pick the correct winner to make your pick valid. In case


of a tie, the tiebreaker is used.


For example if TTFs prediction is 35-21 Steelers he would be 7 points


from the actual score…..35-28=7 21-21=0 7+0=7.


If Ray Ds prediction is 30-18 Steelers he would be 5 points from the


score and he would beat TTF………30-28=2 21-18=3 2+3=5. If either


had picked the Bengals they would have automatically lost due to the


fact that they were not the winning team.


In the unlikely event of a tie (YES Donovan it could happen) we will


just go with closest to the actual score.


I will be awarding points for the first 10 places and including a bonus


of 3 additional points for making a perfect prediction. If there is a tie for a perfect pick 1 additional point will be added to have a true winner. I will track


cumulative point totals and the number of times you make the top 10.


This contest will end after the steelers last game of the season.


The deadline to make your picks is 1 minute before the scheduled kickoff.

Didn't know the Eagles had a bye week. Got confused with all the yelling around me

Eagles are waaaaayyyyyy better then us and we have zero right to win this game but I said in another thread we will beat TB somehow and we did, I also said we'd beat Eagles for no other reason then it's time to win a game in Philly.

Eagles get confused hearing lets go Phillies and trip up.

Eagles are not a good matchup for the Steelers. This could get ugly quick. Plus, the game is in Philly.... and Steelers haven't won in Philly since the 1960's. Last time Steelers played in Philadelphia was the Carson Wentz rookie year beatdown. 34-3. And who can forget the beatdown in 2008 when the O-line didn't show up.

When you had that 1-7 thread I told you we would beat TB and Philly. I just figured it was time to beat Tom Brady, sure he was 100 and having some head trips going on but I did call it. I figured Philly just out of law of averages. We just have to win there some time, right??????? I'll admit now, I'm a bit worried about my hunches. They are really a better team then us with a nice rest.

I am hoping that our D will keep up like they did last game and keep the Eagles pts down. The Eagles D line will decimate our OL and our run game will be lucky to do anything.
