    1. Defense did well overall, but this game may have been way different if they could hold on to those 4 dropped int's

    2. Something has to be done with this sophomoric play calling on offense

    3. Presley Harvin's inconsistencies are maddening

    4. Offense shot themselves in the foot when they were in prime position to take the lead

    5. Dan Moore and Kevin Dotson are the weak links in what is turning out to be a fairly decent o-line

    6. Terrell Edmunds may just have developed into the secondary's best player

    7. Yes, Terron Armstead is a top 5 LT, but come on.... Alex Highsmith has to win at least once or twice

    8. Good adjustments on defense, but really????.... Miami pretty much runs the same offense every week.... Should've been ready for this from the start

    9. Much more is needed from Najee

    10. The refs missed pass interference on the first pick made a huge difference

What about Pickett? Does he take the blame for the loss? He made a poor decision on the second interception and the one that sealed the game may have been both a poor decision and a poor throw. It was definitely the latter.

He had some good moments tonight, too. The dime he threw to Freiermuth to convert on fourth down on that last drive was a thing of beauty. He is certainly part of the story tonight, for good and for ill.

I wouldn't go that far with Edmunds, but he has been really good the last two weeks. If only he could catch the damn ball.

Are you saying Edmunds is better than Minkah?

#4 Yes, we would have a better chance of winning if we didn't have penalties at the worst times.

KP is learning and I wonder if he could do it over again on that last pick whether he would tuck the ball and run it down the field and out of bounds? I don't think there was anyone in front of him that could make a play on him for 20 yards.

The Steelers currently have the #3 pick in the draft and QB may be in play. I know The Steelers will not draft a QB at this point, but a good QB limits his mistakes and a great QB overcomes his mistakes. Thus far, Pickett hasn't shown me that he can limit his mistakes, much less overcome them.

You can dislike my post, but if the QB is going to make a bad read, he better have the arm strength to get it to the wide receiver. Pickett underthrew the last ball. Was it the rain? Possibly. Could his arm strength or smaller hands be the reason? Possibly.

Manning had more INT's than TD's during his rookie year. It takes time for these guys to get used to the NFL game, and Pickett is not nearly the prospect manning was.

I'd say he doesn't take the blame, but it's blameless either. He's a factor many factors in the loss. The illegal shift on the 3rd and 1; Najee jumping and falling short on another 3rd down attempt; a completely horrendous route tree are other factors in this loss.

Other teams play RPO, why are our linemen always getting caught downfield?

I think Pickett will be ok, the OC is doing him no favors but he'll get better at reading what the D gives him (wondering if the gloves may be an issue), not so sure about highsmith, he's nonexistent without TJ, Steelers need to make OLB one of the high priorities in next year's draft.

And yes, we need a new punter

To be fair, I’ve noticed quite a few teams get called on that this year.

Pickett’s interception obviously lost the game, and it was maddening that he went for the throw rather than run for the first down and get out of bounds.

But this season is a learning curve, and the lack of a consistent run game is not helping (though there are signs of improvement).

If we’re picking early next draft I hope they go LT, CB or DE…

Could be none of the above. In his postgame Pickett said he made a mistake, thinking Johnson was going to cut back instead of continuing on, and he wanted to put the ball where he could make a play on it. He admitted in that situation he needs to tuck it and run for some yards or just throw it away.

It was a mistake similar to the INT against the Jets when he tried to force it to Freiermuth instead of just throwing it away.

It's difficult to win games in any sports league when players make mistakes and don't execute routine and simple plays.

KP compounded the issues with the turnovers. Miami's DBs held onto the picks and the Steelers' DBs did not.

Pickett said he made a misread and thought DJ was going break off the route and come back. He took ownership of the INT. It sucks because both of the INTs kept potential points off the board for the Steelers. I can at least take a bit of hope from the fact that at least Pickett has guts enough to try and make a play in those moments. He needs to learn that sometimes there's a fine line between calculated risk and carelessness in this league.

He's nowhere near Minkah's flash and splash, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's more steady and consistent

I'm going to say this about Edmunds. I just don't see anything special when the play goes his way. Not to say I didn't notice tackles or a battled down pass. But what I do want to say is there is a considerable difference in the secondary when he's not in the game vs when he is. The secondary even looked better with him and Minkah out than with Minkah in and him out. He's sort of the glue that keeps the secondary together as a functioning unit. It took him longer than expected, but he's lowkey a pro bowl caliber player. He probably won't get a pro bowl anytime soon, just due to the record. But he's not the same player he was last year or the year before. I don't know if he's better than Minkah or not, but I think he's more important than Minkah.

Postgame show T. Hill said Fitzpatrick is one of the best and Miami planned their Offense according to where he was.

Edmunds made some plays for sure, like any team would expect from their 5th year, top pick starter.
