    4 missed INTs.

Curious how the Dolphins defense actually catching the INTs thrown their way matter to you, but the near half dozen the Steelers dropped are easily dismissed

16 points is 16 points, who cares about the other stats. The defense gave up 16 points. Do that every game and that is an elite defense.

16 points. Regardless of the dropped picks, the D was outstanding because at the end of the day, stopping the other team from scoring is their primary job.

I wouldn't say they were all easy. Wallace would have had to make a hell of a catch on that last one, but the others should have been caught. The secondary made some nice plays, too. They helped keep the game close, but Tua wasn't very good after the first couple of drives and the defense let him get away with too many poor throws.

Yup. I think he got caught in between running into that wide-open space and seeing Johnson coming open in the end zone and just didn't get enough on the throw.

Seems to me he is the only one making big 3rd down plays, The TE did some tonight, but the last 2 games it has been CC. ...I'm not gonna harp on CC falling down at the first of the game, his feet got tangled with the other player, and he was pushed from behind

Those 4 INTs could have made the difference in this game. I don’t care of it was a 3-0 game, the defense missed those game changing opportunities, those splash plays Tomlin loves to talk about and we’re 2-5. Maybe the Steelers secondary should be forced to watch the Dolphins secondary this week. They didn’t seem to have any issues hanging onto the ball.

Exactly, they didn't stop the Dolphins from scoring. Most certainly not from scoring more points. In fact, 6 of those 16 points came after what should have been INTs. Steelers D dropped them, Dolphins D didn't. As it turns out, those 6 points are the difference.

By your standards, Dolphins D did there primary job and I agree.

Kenny Pickett looks like a faster version of Baker Mayfield. Good accuracy, poor decision making at times, but can run if he needs. He might turn out okay though. He makes some tough throws.

the last one would have been a Troy like snag off the ground. Hard to fault a DB for not coming up with that. The first one was tipped and even though it bounced right into the bread basket those can be tricky when the ball changes directions. Sutton and Edmonds were basic INTs for an NFL player.

I have been watching the Steelers for over 50 years and this is my synopsis.......Pickett is obviously a huge talent, probably in the top 50 quarterbacks playing........with the upside to move into the top 10. The D did not do him or the Offense any favors in the first and 2nd quarters of the game. There were clear interceptions dropped and if you want to win, the D needs to make a play and change the momentum. Pickett is a rookie and some help from the D would be appreciated. Yes, the D pulled it together in the 2nd half, but there still seems to be an overall lack of effort from the WR's to make plays and the D to focus better and make the big play when the game is on the line.

I like Pickett, but as Collingsworth said.....he needs to prove himself by winning a game. Big Ben would probably have won that game for us.....Pickett did not, but let's keep the faith and hopefully he will mature into a top 10 QB.

It's obvious the difference in the game. Tua's stats should look worse than Pickett's if the Steelers DBs simply catch terrible passes thrown by Tua, but they choked.

Agreed. You'd like to see Wallace come up with that tipped ball, but he did have to adjust late. There really is no excuse for the drops by Sutton and Edmunds. Hell, the deep ball Edmunds broke up could have been an interception, too, but that would have been a tough one and he did a hell of a job getting there.

I really don't know what more the D can do_Our OL sucks no way a 3 man rush should produce pressure.
    Canada have to go

Those would have been game changers. Even the last one that Wallace dropped should have been caught even though the level of difficulty on that one was a little higher than the other three. In a game like that when the offense needs all of the help it can get, you can’t miss out on those opportunities.

There was another one that Bush could have picked had he gotten his head around.

I get that, and two of those drops led directly to field goals for the Dolphins. That said, I still have a hard time faulting the defense when the offense managed only 10 points and turned it over twice with opportunities to win the game late. There is plenty of blame to go around, but most of it should be on the offense.
