Um…wasn’t it the defense who dropped four interceptions, a couple of which would have given a much needed short field to that pathetic offense?

 

Agree...playcalling in the middle of this game was bad...could have thrown the ball more then..Also after the first 10 minutes Tua didn't do much,and could have thrown 4 pics if our db's could catch...game would have been different

 

Rookie mistakes, but that's to be expected in his first year. There was still a lot of good and I'm excited to see Picketts growth.

Those 4 dropped ints came back to haunt us. We really could've won today's game.

We need someone who can actually call plays that fit the games momentum. The designs are there but the timing is awful.

I need to watch it again, but I think you are right. I just don't think that was a good risk to take as he was running to his left and with the rain coming down. It looked like he had room to run it closer and get out of bounds. If not, throw it away. The kid made two dumb rookie mistakes and they were among the reasons the Steelers lost tonight.

It was a poor throw, but it was also probably a bad idea to try it in those conditions. I don't just mean the rain. Pickett isn't great at throwing when rolling left. That was a big tendency with him at Pitt. If he rolled right, he would throw. If he rolled left, he would run.

 

Those penalties killed the drive. We had the mo on that drive. This just sucks. 4 dropped picks. We should have won by 21.

I do.....and scoring 15 points (which the Steelers offense has averaged over 7 games) is not going to beat Philly.

 

I don’t care if they dropped 30 potential interceptions, they gave up 16 points. When the D holds an NFL team to 16 points and you lose it’s because the offense didn’t do their job.

 

I 100% disagree. The defense missed as many opportunities to change the outcome of this game as the offense. The offense didn't look like a wet paper sack on Miami's opening drive. The defense did some nice things. So did the offense to a lesser extent. They both choked at critical moments of this game

The first two levels of the D played well, the secondary SUCKED!!!! You can’t drop four freaking easy interceptions and go to sleep thinking you had a good freaking game!
