You have to wonder which NFL executive said such a thing. Omar Khan?

This story stinks of BS as badly as the mystery MLB teams that are always supposedly bidding on Scott Boras's clients, but never actually getting them.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

If they offer up that deal I will help him pack his bags.

If another team had claypool, would you give a third to get him?

Kleiman is claiming and an anonymous NFL executive said it. For all we know, it was Omar Khan who said it, hoping some team would be stupid enough to pay that price. Don't get me wrong. I'd love if they could get that much for him, but you are making a false claim based on insufficient or nonexistent evidence. It's what you do.

Consider the source, fool . Let me know when Schefter, Rapoport, or Fowler reports this to be true.

You also have to take into account he hasn't been as good the last season and a half .

Again. I'm not OK with giving up on a proven WR that is in a rookie contract. For a third that will be a project player.

I wouldn't do that now. If they lose the next two and are pretty much out of contention, I might consider it. I'd feel a hell of a lot better if it was more than just a three.

Claypool is a body catcher and hasn’t improved since he went pro.

If you can get a third you take it. This team isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and we need all the draft capital in this rebuild we can get.

I'm not sure that is the primary issue for him. I don't think he runs his routes very well, either.

This is what I read today from the Steelers Depot. How reliable it is I don’t know.

There may be other teams interested in trading for WR Chase Claypool. But it takes two to tango, and according to the PPG’s Gerry Dulac, the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t want to dance. Dulac writes the team has no desire to move on from Claypool. saying:

“The Steelers are not trying to trade Claypool or even looking to trade him. Not unless some team comes knocking on their door with a deal that is just too good to pass up. And that hasn’t happened.”

Dulac also called the story nothing but a “juicy rumor.”

Claypool’s name has been rumored in trade talks, some credible, some not, throughout the week, kicking off with ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler linking him to the Green Bay Packers earlier in the week.Claypool is coming off the best game of the season, maybe his best of the last two years, a seven catch, 96-yard, one-score performance in Sunday’s upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pittsburgh seems more likely to try to build off that as opposed to boosting his trade value and shipping him to another team.

If I’m the Packers looking at Rodgers window closing with no weapons. Hell yes I would. They don’t have time to draft and develop. Nobody is trading away WRs either.

I disagree. Having him next year under rookie contract >>> 3rd round pick. I start considering it at a 2nd. Multiple 2nds and 4th or 1st? Bye Claypool.

Delusional, you give up that many picks for star receivers, not inconsistent guys like Claypool.

Apparently, there has been some talk of the Giants trading for Claypool. Their receiving corps is a disaster, so it would make some sense. I'm just not sure how much they would give up for the guy.

I told you days before all the rumors I’d take nothing less than a 2nd. You said we could only get a 4th. Now all the rumors of 2nd or multiple 2nds. So you might be the delusional one
