I thought he left one of the last two Super Bowls they played in with that injury.

    It's very hard to pick.
So I just go My first understanding of it.....
Mel Blount was My 1st favorite ....and then after that...
Ham, Lambert, Greene, Troy P., Harrison, Foote, Kirkland.....GEEZZZZ.....way too many......I better just stop.

Mean Joe had to be double or even triple teamed on every snap freeing up the other lineman for the tackle. The fact that the other 3 were very good in their own right made running the ball against the Steelers nearly impossible.

Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton might be the best ever at their respective positions in the type of 3-4 they ran.

Ham, Lambert, Green, Blount, Polamalu, Woodson are all on the short list for best ever at their respective positions, how do you pick one?

You start by spelling Joe Greene's name right. This is a message board for Steelers fans and it's in the title of the thread!

Greene was the cornerstone of the Steel Curtain. All due respect to Ham, Blount. Lambert and the greats who came later, Greene is the man.

Hines was so good that the league changed the rules to protect defenders
