I get it, internet has ruthless people on it. They make jokes and etc. But it's very very unprofessional for these two gentlemen to mock Murray for his reading/studying issue on live TV. As well saying, "call of duty comes out so he's studying that".

    Who's Kyle Murray?

All kidding aside. The guy signs a $230,000,000 five year contract and has to have in writing his film study work ethic of only 4 hours a week which he had them remove that clause. I have no problem with commentators ripping on that.

    :hmm:

Going to defend both Gonzalez and Sherman on this one.

Kyler has done this to himself. Neither Tony nor Richard have anything to do with Murray's Off Field habits. Truth be told, I personally do not care what a player gets into off the field for it is their right to seek whatever form of entertainment away from the game as they see it; legal hobbies of course. However, should those interests affect performance.... that is where a hard line must be drawn; doubly so from QBs who have been entrusted with not just being the face of a franchise but being possibly one of the final keys towards getting to the promised land.

Kyler has not been great all season... sans last night. As a result, the Cardinals have not been great, good even, all season. Part of this is due to his limitations as 5'9 really is not a great height for a position that must survey the entire field. However, this goes beyond just a mere physical limitation; film study.

While not every great QB in NFL History had great study habits, they made up for with passion and desire to be great. For so many that ripped on Big Ben for his lack of fundamentals, winning meant everything to him; hence why that he alone, even among QB Legends like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and even Tom Brady, does not know the concept of having a losing season for Big Ben never experienced one. That is why so many loved Big Ben's performance on field; just win baby.

This is has been, currently is and will continue to be my biggest issue with Kyler Murray for the foreseeable future. He needs to decide if Football is truly something he is invested in or find something else that is. Playing the most difficult position in all of sports alone is taxing enough. Having interests that impede that ability to get better?!?!?!?!

...... something has to give here.

They hired Sherman knowing full well his brash personality. I don’t particularly care for the guy, but that’s neither here nor there. The guy made a joke. It wasn’t a particularly good joke, but still a joke.

    lighten up Francis

So did Jeremy Roenick and now he's out of a job. It's a damn shame people want to be judge, jury and executioner over light hearted jokes.

Murray is probably the most overrated player in the NFL, I can't believe Arizona gave him over 100 million guaranteed .

I don't know Lamar is a dang close 2nd. If they don't have the best field goal kicker in the NFL they would be 2- 5 right now.

I was a Murray fan but after seeing him lash out at the coach and hearing he needs film study removed from his contract. Well I am done rooting for him and Arizona will regret giving that contract. This will not end well. If Hopkins wasn’t there he would look like complete garbage
