The way I read the article, Tomlin got "heavily involved" with the offense after the Bills beatdown. The offense in the Bucs game wasn't great but it was enough to get the win. We'll see if the offense trends up this week against Miami.

I don't go over there. I can only focus here.
I agree. McCafferty as I said, has too many miles.

Keep in mind there is a difference between being involved in the game plan and calling the plays.

There was an entire inaccurate series of posts last winter alleging Tomlin was calling the defense plays during the game. He was not. He was heavily involved in the game plan.

    As every coach should be.

    Except Mike Ditka.

We are in dire need of a running game, it would open up soooo much
    for KP to operate.

I get the difference but it's hard for me to imagine that during all 4 quarters of a game and the offense is playing poorly due to play calling or whatever and has been on a multi-game consistent manner with fan and media pressure, that no one can or has stepped in and made some changes or at least suggestions on what other plays or actions could make a difference. Who is MT talking to with the headset, just the defensive coaches? Game after game the same calls and scheme go unchanged suggests either no one has any say other than Canada or others are willing to let things ride. JMO>

He talks to all of them, but in any open mic I have heard, or over heard (which of course isn't a lot) I have never heard Him call a specific play, He only suggest something....that doesn't mean He doesn't, but just from the bits ,and pieces I've heard....He doesn't seem to.

OL is not my expertise, for any of you lineman, former lineman, coaches out there could
you comment what needs to happen to create a successful run game? We need one real bad.
I would hope the Steelers try more to establish a running game. Yes I understand
they can't do this when far behind. IE Buffalo, But what about all these close games where a running game is possible.
