Injury Updates

Yes, the injuries may be similar but other things are not.

 

I will leave up to own people to wonder why.

 

I'm sure this topic of injuries will be used to "justify" the results of this season so we can carry on as usual next year. The sad thing for me is that my expectations are at point that losing doesn't upset me like before when we were trying to win the division and had big time playoff possibilities. What does piss me off is getting our butts kick like some scout team and blown out before I finish my first beer while getting texts and calls asking WTF and I have no answers. Nonetheless, will watch and hope for something positive against the Bucs along with putting TB in immediate and permanent retirement. OB1 TJ. you're our only hope. JMO>

At least the Pens start today so that is something to fall back on.

 

There are a couple of issues with your anecdote. This is week 6 not week 17. Also the ravens might have been in contention, but they didn’t make the playoffs

Steelers starting secondary Sunday likely will be Edmunds, Tre Norwood, Josh Jackson and James Pierre.

Ugh. It looks like a sure loss. All I want to see at the very least is our offense plays better.

 

It isn't just the secondary, either. Now Leal has an injury that seemed to come out of nowhere. Brady has always gotten the ball out quickly, even more so with the Bucs having some issues on the offensive line. Having guys up front who are good at getting their hands in passing lanes is important. They are already missing Watt, who is great at that. Leal has shown a knack for it as well.

Edmunds is the only one of their top six defensive backs who will play Sunday, and he is well below average in coverage. Throw in a pass rush that has disappeared without Watt and there is zero drama for this game. The only thing to watch is the development of Pickett and Pickens.

 

Yup. Still no call to Joe Haden?

 

Was talking to a buddy about this… Maybe they have and he’s not interested or they can’t agree on numbers? Or maybe the injuries are short term and they don’t want to end up with an overcrowded secondary? I don’t know, but we could use him.

 

When is Kazee expected to come off the IR/Suspension?
