Yeah. Not that I ever win. But what the hell, right?

Sad they didn't have Pappy 15 year old this time. Only 20 and 23. None of the other ones interested me. Either because I don't care, or because they're WAY out of my price range.

I bid on all of them and I don’t even drink bourbon

My niece and nephew in law are into it

nothing to do with pappy or the pa lottery, but whatever. I walked into a liquor store the other day and saw 3 bottles of Lagavulin on the shelf. I rarely shop at this store because they’ve always been significantly more expensive than others. The last time I was there lagavulin was $120 a bottle. I’m not sure what happened, but on this day they were marked at $79. Needless to say I walked out with 3 bottles on that blessed day

I sprang 40 bucks for a bottle of Maker's Mark. However I didn't check the label for alcohol content. It is excellent tasting Bourbon. However the bottle I bought is 52% alcohol. I missed that. So after the third shot I'm feeling really wasted. One more and I couldn't really walk all that well. It's excellent Bourbon though!

You got the Cask Strength version. That's good because I think it's better than regular Makers. Pace yourself. ;)

I tried a couple places today to no avail. A local bottle shop is calling their distributor tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed

@Ray D bottle shop called the distributor today. They aren’t supposed to get it until 11/9 and then dispersed from there. According to the rep there is far more this year than last so it shouldn’t be as difficult to find. Of course I’m supposed to be in the woods 11/9-14 and with my luck it will sell out

Good. I may find it yet. This year's edition sounds great. But I loved last year's so much I wish they'd just make it permanent. :lolol:

American whiskey, rye, or 10 year old bourbon?

Haven't had the American whiskey in a while, but I remember it being pretty good. Nice to have a few American whiskies that aren't just rye, bourbon, or rebranded bourbon (looking at you, Jack. Still love you, buddy).

Not usually a rye fan. I've never found the 10 year old bourbon, but I'll bet it's good.

American Whiskey. It lacks about 5 points of proof but for a whiskey it's really good.

My friend gave me this Jamaican beer. Red Stripe. It's ok as a thirst quencher but doesn't offer much in the way of taste 20221112_180625.jpg

I'm not a fan. Also the worst headache I ever had from just drinking beer came while getting drunk on Red Stripe

yeah I won't buy it but it was a gift I can't imagine getting drunk on this beer. You'd have to drink like 10 probably

Actually it isn’t. Just needs to be made from 50 something percent corn. If I remember correctly it also needs to be aged in new oak casks, but not positive on that one.
