Batch could return next season.

With a win I bet Batch will be back next year and on Sunday home town Charlie will shock all of us. I think last week was the worst I ever seen Charlie perform as a Steeler. The Raven are in for a surprise.

I think you are right, Charlie hasnt played much and he has hardly dressed this year, so you know he wasnt getting many snaps in practice. He has had almost all the snaps the past 2 weeks and I expect a better Charlie this week. If we can hold onto the ball this week and play smart situational football, we should be fine.

While I hope you guys are right too, I think this is more wishful thinking than anything. Charlie just didn't show me much of anything that would make me think everything is going to be ok. IMO we are going to have to rely heavily on our defense for turnovers in order to squeak this one out OR at the very least hope our defense can shutdown their offense enough that we can put together a scoring drive for the win. I see no winning scenario with us having to match them point for point.

I do suspect our running game will look much better, mainly because i can't imagine it being any worse than last week, and I think we will once again rely on a heavy dose of the run to try and win this one. This is pretty much a MUST WIN game and i just don't see any playoff hopes at all if we do not.

With that said i still have enough faith in our boys that we can win this one, albeit by a close score i'd imagine, and i have seen enough from the ravens lately to think they are vulnerable enough to pull this off. raying:

Batch and Haley tried to do to much last week and the RB'S never got a chance to recover from their fumbles.....Wallace and Menhall are going to be on the bench more this week,it also appears that Pouncey is going to play Guard...

The reason I mmention all this is all signs point to the Steelers making this a ugly game.....I think Haley will stick to the run and we will control the Ravens with our inside Power running and Batch will connect on a few PA passes....If we throw it more than 20 times we are in trouble IMO and I would feel that way even if Ben was playing...The Ravens make to many sacks and to many sack fumbles against us they also tend to have a lot of picks against us....

So actually not having Ben should humble us enough to stick with a game plan that can beat the Ravens,,,Old School Football,just keep hitting and the last man standing wins...
