My observations from the Bills beating

1. Defense got taken to the woodshed

2. Diontae Johnson batted down more passes than our DB's

3. Coaches showed less heart than the players

4. Kenny Pickett does give me hope for the future

5. We're stuck with Dan Moore for one more season..... Next draft has to be defensive focused

6. George Pickens is officially WR 1

7. Thank you James Daniels for showing some life on the field .... I'll never be mad about a penalty like that

8. Play calling was far too conservative

9. Get well Muth

10. Can anyone actually cover a receiver on this defense

 

I have a lot, but need to cool off period.
Buffalo is the best team in the NFL now, bar none.
Josh Allen is just on fire. Who call that pass at the 2 and the just reads the defense and finds a 98 yard td?????

Pittsburgh went on this game banged up in the secondary, that was suicide.
Kenny Pickett will only get better, he can spin the ball.

Austin is not the D-Coordinator they thought. Even with some injuries, he had nothing.

There didn’t seem to be a defensive plan after the first two plays.

Over 100 yards rushing and 400 passing Defense gave up.


There was a time 100 yards rushing against a Steelers team was a dream.

 

All I can say is this decline happened much faster than I thought it would. At this point, I'm thinking 7-10 was wishful thinking. Just looking for any bright spots for the future. A future that does not include Mike Tomlin.

 

I predicted 6-11 and got busted on. 6 wins seems impossible at the moment.

 

It was 11 traffic cones losely scattered about vs the Bills offense.

 

Agree!.... Being too conservative killed us in the first half...Had to creative, had to score points...Canada doesn't give us a chance to succeed.......either does all the receivers dropping balls

 

Would add Josh Allen was both lucky and good. He could have been picked a couple more times.

We ran into a buzz saw. The Bills just were playing their best while we are a mess. I have noticed over the years WHEN you play an opponent on your schedule can be much more important that who you are playing.

 

Opening drive I said if they go 98 yards it's already over

I guess Mitch made the defense so tired they still have not recovered

Yes..I know we will never officially tank. But soon..like after the bye I think you start playing for the future, namely starting guys who want to play for a job. That said make that move with Bush sooner than later.

His contract does extend up to 2023 I believe. After that, up to AR 2.

 

Same was said about Cowher when he strung together his 3 losing seasons in a row. Ownership allowed him to rebuild. The same will happen here.

 

Tomlin doesn't know how, if Tomlin would not have had the stupid philosophy of Skill carries and wins the day and ingore the OL and DL we might not be in this mess. Tomlin has tore this team apart slowly.

 

Hate to be Captain Obvious but you're not going to win many games giving up 38 points nor are you going to win many games scoring 3 points. Both the offense and the defense are horrible and both are getting worse. The only reason the offense scored 20 last week was an interception taking it back inside the 5. I'm not seeing bright spots except a couple of Pickens circus catches.

 

have the Steelers won less than 6 games in recent history? I think the last time was 1969. Yeah, its looking like Tomlin might get the distinction of having the worst Steelers records since that year.

 

You do know he is 1/3 of the decision making team when it comes to drafting and signing right?

 

Art needs to swallow his pride and buyout Tomlin's contract. It's time for new blood in this organization. New ideas. Someone who offers accountability instead of platitudes. I'd love to see what Brian Flores could do with this team.

I'd trade DJ and Claypool for draft picks. Whatever you can get. Next draft has to be about fixing the defense and building an OL.

We need an bona fide OC to work with Pickett. Canada's offense is high school level and too conservative.

 

The game was over before it started. They were facing one of the elite quarterbacks in the league without T.J. Watt and with five of their top six defensive backs either out or playing through injuries. Then they lost Ogunjobi to a back injury and their only healthy defensive back, Wallace, to a concussion. Brady might put up 50 points next week because he won't want to call off the dogs.

Our coordinators are awful. I had some hope the D could at least be decent with Flores but it's terrible without TJ. Matt Canada is a disgrace to the NFL. Tomlin is a damn cheerleader who needs very strong play callers all around him. Instead we have the three stooges on the sidelines. There is just no accountability with Deuce. I hope Omar knows WTF he's doing this offseason.
