It's going to be tough, without Ben. I'm highly doubting that he is playing. We have to come out the gate and get the crowd out of it, that will be hard, but possible. Keep with the running game wear them down, they aren't great at stopping the run, mix up the play calling. You have to put Batch in more managleable 3rd down and shorts, not 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 10. So, we have to get some plays on 1st down. Use heath on the flats, he can easily take a 2 yard pass and make it 6 or 7.

Of course don't fumble it or turn it over. Do what we did against Cleveland last week and the will beat us by 30 points. The defense just has to keep us in it, like they have been doing. Avoid the special teams mistake, angle punts to the sideline, Jacoby Jones is a good one, and if it wasn't for him we would have beat Baltimore last time.

It's going to be tough for us, I'm not sure if we can pull it off, it might help if Baltimore is over confiedent, but I doubt that happens.

Just as a fan in with low expectations, it usually doesn't let you down as much.

But we need this win, I just don't seeing this team going 4-0 to end the season.

First of all - I do think this could be a "trap" game for Baltimore. They are riding high after their "win" at San Diego and I think they'll underestimate the Steelers because of the debacle in Cleveland.

I do think the Steelers can win this game. It doesn't mean I think they will win - just that they can. For me, the key (even though it wasn't on the list) is to make Charlie Batch's level of play irrelevant. In other words, every single player at every single position needs to focus and execute at their highest possible level. This includes Batch, but his "highest" probably isn't high enough to win the game for the Steelers. The rest of the team, in my opinion, is superior to anything Baltimore has. So - make Batch's play irrelevant - and we have a chance to win. Breakdowns - even small ones - could make things get ugly again.

Ben's not going to play. In order to win we need a dominant (not just strong) rushing performance... And Dwyer would need to do it against a stacked box.

That would allow Batch to make easier throws, it controls the clock, and keeps our defense fresh.

I don't think Ben is going to play, so that's not a key I'm focusing on. I voted for "Batch Stepping Up" because I believe if we get good QB play we can win. Batch stepping up and playing well will likely mean the running game is productive too, either because the run is opening up the pass or the other way around. Good QB play also helps contribute to no turnovers. If we got good efforts from QBs the last two weeks we'd be 8-3 (even with all the fumbles in CLE). Therefore, a good effort from the QB is a must in my mind and is the key.

    I don't see 'pray, a lot, a whole lot'.

I vote for 'the full force of The Terrible Towel, Ray Rice style'.

surprised I'm the only one that has said "control the LOS." Do that and keep the ball moving and out of flake-o's hands

    Wait until next year? :innocent:

Ok, kidding aside, I picked this, too, but having the D/ST score was a very close second. If we can control the LOS (which I think will be difficult), it will make all of the difference, but I think it's also going to take some non-offensive scoring to win this one.

Establish the run and pound away. Oh, and hang onto the ball! Defense is going to have to keep them in check, anything more then 14 points and we're in trouble.

Bens not playing so a strong team effort is going to be needed to win this thing.

Run it down their throats. Don't give them anything cheap.

Can Charlie do the same run Byron did? We need 7.

Don't throw a pass until the 3rd. Quarter......Keep pounding them and lull the DB'S to sleep and when we do go PA we will be wide open...We need to beat them up on both sides of the ball let our Punter have a huge day.....If our RB'S will hang on to the ball and they can ,no Team in the NFL can stop Dwyer and Redman after a heavy dose....I would like to see us run the ball 50 Times and use PA about 20 Times.....

IMO if we do that we can get 3 scores on the ground and 2 in the Air....

The key to winning? Their is no key to winning this game. I can't think of one. I can tell you why they won't win.

    Batch at QB
    The O-Line is patch work
0-6 when Ben doesn't play against them

    Good enough!

I was thinking the same thing after Ben was ruled out! The only key to any possible success is to come out of this game with no more injuries
