Disco, there was so much fail in your post, and not just your inability to use the quote function. The defense blew the game, not Pickett.

0-3 under Trubisky. He’s going to be MVP!

Pickett bails out Trubisky, gives Steelers a 10 point lead, defense blows lead, PICKETT SUCKS!!!!!

It was alualu defensive hold at the end that gave the jets a first down that lost the game for us, but hey we win as a team and lose as a team,

I was a supporter of claypool but he just isn’t doing his job!!

Hopefully Next Year we’ll get JuJu Back and he can teach our guys about real NFL Offenses……

Until then, put Boykin and sims in there!!!! Shoot, call up Cody White and give him a shot!!

You can add Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning, and Terry Bradshaw to that list.
Does this mean Kenny P. will be good.....no....it just points out others took some time.

I know everyone has their own opinions of the interceptions, but 2 out of the 3 hit wide receivers in both hands. Pretty good grade. Maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, but the offense looked more smooth with KP than it did with MT.

Ben’s rookie season will never be repeated by anyone. With a no. 1 defense and Duce, Jerome, Verron Haynes, Willie Parker at RB he had one heck of a supporting cast. Yes Duce Staley. Before he got injured he was dependable and ended the season with 800+ yards

The INT on his first throw was a message. He basically said, I’m not Trubisky and I’m not afraid to go long.

We shall see.. Something I learned awhile ago....never say never.....crazy how that loaded same team went 6-10 , and missed the playoffs, and got Ben, and went to the AFC Championship the very next year.

Claypool didnt extend his hands and arms and let the ball get in to close to his body allowing the defender to disrupt the pass. Should have been caught...and I'm with those who believe this was single coverage....definitely not double coverage.

You can look at just about every QB that played the game and they weren't all pros until their 3rd or 4th year. Guys like Brady and Ben are more less the exception to the rule.

I think it was two-deep zone. I'd have to go back and watch it again. Either way, he was one-on-one with the defender when the ball arrived. Whitehead only had time to get involved because the ball was deflected in the air.

I’ll try to be fair to Claypool and say that timing also played into that INT. Claypool did have a step on the defender and it could have been an easier catch. After a few weeks, hopefully less, they should click.

That’s pretty generous of PFF. By no means am I laying the blame on Pickett. This one was squarely on the defense, but Pickett’s first two interceptions were not well thrown balls, and at least one should have been charted at turnover-worthy.

I can see both sides. It was his 1st pro reg season game, so i get the excitement and looking to make plays. Both were very catchable. What was bad was the botched pitch to warren. If not for that we're not in 2nd and long and then who knows. Thats the only play id hold him accountable for as a fan.

Id love for claypool to step up and click with anyone. Hes been a huge disappointment. He makes some amazing catches, misses a lot of 50/50 balls, far too often goes to the ground while making a play, and doesnt play like his size suggets he should.

That said i have him on my dynasty fantasy squad(pickens 2), drafted him his rookie season ij a redraft league and was my keeper. Beyond a handful of games his rookie year hes not lived up to what i thought he should be.

I definitely have a bigger issue with that than the first interception, but at least some of the blame should be on Canada for a terrible play call. That result is exactly why you don't call a pitch there. If you are going to run, you run it inside to keep the clock moving and keep them ahead of the sticks. Even without a fumble, pitch plays can get blown up for a big loss, especially when the opponent is expecting a run as the Jets should have been in that situation. Pickett needs to execute better, but the play call really hurt, too.

Also, here is one report that the Steelers are going to start Pickett next week.
