You should be upset at the players on the field, has Heyward made a play since Watt been injured?

I know you are, you were one of the people I was thinking of all the while giving Claypool a pass :lolol:

Don’t worry, you’ll be able to cheer on Claypool while he is falling on the ground and dropping passes from Murray after next season.

I have no problem with how things shook out, QB wise, this week.

If you're not going to start Pickett, then there's no sense giving him first team reps. That would just be fuel to the fire. He had no intention of starting Pickett so he did what should have been done.

At the same time, after one half he'd seen enough and decided he had to make a change. I don't disagree with that either.

Totally understandable how some of us may think that Pickett should have started and practiced from the get go, but I also see Tomlin's logic.

We are forgetting that we are in a re-building, re-vamping or some kind of RE phase, so I would suspect that we will not going to do real well until the dust settles. Started with a QB that has NFL experience and showed us nothing for 3.5 games, now we have a kid out of college who was somewhat impressive. Yes he had two tips for interceptions and a Hail Mary pass to a receiver who had 4 D men around him. Had he caught it that would have been the Hail Mary pass. The D got tired yes but before that happened they had a lot of missed tackles and the pass coverage did not exist. Let Pickett settle in and the D gets more rest we may see a different team.

At least we felt some energy today on offense. The last three years of no hope have been a rough watch. I hope Kenny is the next burrow. We need to find out or draft another qb

This D WITH watt needs a scoring offense. We score, then our pass rush thrives and we win

So, I didn’t get to see the game today so I watched the highlights.
What I got was that Kenny did indeed give us a shot of urgency that we needed. Interceptions were mainly from receivers tipping it and going ballz to the wall for hope. He’s young, was his first game and will learn when to be aggressive and when not to be. His predecessor did exactly that too to become a HOF QB. I liked what I saw in a Kenny TBH. Surprised how good he looked.

What I didn’t like is how the highest paid D looked. If there’s blame to the game it’s on them. They didn’t help their young QB out. They stop the Score at the end and our rook wins it for us.

Kenny looked good and gave us a spark and a chance.

I am disappointed in the way the team loss. They had opportunities to win this game on both sides of the ball.

His best quality is his size. Not overly impressed with much else.

    For sure.

But admittedly, no one (aside from us hopefuls) has said KP will be the starter from here out. MT said he put him in at that moment because they needed a spark. Knowing MT, Mitch will be back behind center next week

I'm not so sure that Tomlin wants to give Pickett his first NFL start on the road at Buffalo. It might be better for Mitch to take that 38-6 beating that's coming instead of Pickett suffering through it.

Heck No. Let the education begin. He should only be taken out if....
    1. He gets injured, or....
    2. In his second year He shows no improvement what so ever

Let's be honest. Kenny brought energy from the crowd and played well enough to win the game, (THE DEFENSE laid an egg after RENEGADE played) but he really only had one drive

    1. 6 plays 29 yards then INT

    2. 3 plays 4 yards TD

    3. 12 plays 82 yards TD

    4. 7 plays 39 yards INT

    5. 2 plays 29 yards INT

outside of that 3rd possession not much good happened.

I'm hoping to see more from him, but let's temper expectations.

    HACK

You do know that Claypool had more drops than Johnson last year right?

Johnson just got paid, Pickens is about to become the alpha dog, won’t be any room to sigh Claypool although at this rate they may be able to pay him in gift cards with the way his career is going.

I'm not sure if it was a bad decision, but I did advocate for us to wait ,and see who our future QB liked 2 throw 2 before We paid Him, or any Wrs.

Not sure who had more targets, Johnson or Pickens but he was definitely looking Johnsons way which makes sense because QB’s like WR’s that get open. The drops thing is silly, some fans won’t be happy unless he drops zero passes. Psst, WRs drop passes, some of the top guys had more drops than Johnson did last season.

All of the WR’s game should pick up because Pickett is a more accurate passer than Trubisky is.

Dj has been targeted 37 times while making 23 catches for 207yrds

CC has been targeted 20 times making 11 catches for 79 yrds,

seems to me CC has a better catch average than DJ does this year

Claypool also has rushed for 47 yrds, while DJ has rushed for 11 yrds
