They probably shouldn’t have been thrown, but the receiver had an opportunity to catch both of those. It’s not like he got fooled on the read and threw it straight to a defender. He’s a rookie. We can expect rookie mistakes. Nobody is saying he the savior. He’s got a long way to go and he’ll struggle this season in spots. But I’m happy to see that his NFL education has begun. He’s got the makings of a very good quarterback and I don’t understand your hate for him.

 

Tomlin lost the game starting Trubisky , Defense lost the game , they stink without Watt.
Pickett got Pickens in the game and played tough.

Trubisky had one pick...On a perfect pass right thru DJ's hands...Pickett had 2 horrible picks, and I'll not roast him for the last one being a hail Mary...So many on here are shook, because " WHEN KENNY GETS IN....IT'S ALL TRUBISKYS FAULT" Pickett sucked, and lost the game

 

Terrible pick for sure, but a defense that couldn't stop an anemic offense from going on a 65 yard drive, converting a 3rd and 6 and a 1st and 20.

 

This narrative needs to stop. The first interception was the right decision. It was a poor throw, but still, one Claypool should have caught.

Even the second interception was on the receiver's hands. It was a bad decision that put Freiermuth in an impossible position. That is one he needs to fire out of bounds. He tried to do too much and it may have cost the Steelers the chance to go up six. I don't have much faith in them getting a touchdown on that drive. If that ball had fallen incomplete, it would have been third-and-15.

I don't think he is a savior, but he gives them a better chance to win than Trubisky.

Well, Trubisky took care of the ball and we were on our way to 1-3.

 

Trubisky had 10 days to prepare for Jets, and did nothing.
Pickett comes in and plays 10xs better.

 

The defense has to make plays and stops at the end of the game there and pick Kenny up after the interception. Yea the forced throw to Muth wasn’t a great decision by Kenny but the defense is allowed to make a stop as well. I think if Pickett starts this game they probably win. But Tomlin had to **** around another week and let Mitch try and figure it out when you knew he wasn’t going too. No going back to Mitch now Pickett is the QB moving forward period.

Trubisky pass got deflected because it was a bad throw.

He set the team up to win and the defense was unable to save it.
You will see that.. but you will also see it improve as the season goes on.

Mitch was awful to watch just plain awful.
At one point his play list looked like
Mitch incomplete pass, Mitch sacked, Mitch incomplete pass, punt... over and over.

The ride will have ups and downs as Kenny comes on line.
But it is a far better ride.
I'm actually more disappointed that Mitch wasn't pulled end of 1st qtr. They guy has 44 passing yards in the first half, hasn't been over 100. Pitiful.
