The Boss wanted the run game fixed 2 years ago.

    It's not.

Guess nobody is afraid to lose their job.

To be fair, that wasn't the current Browns organization. That was the franchise that moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens. We should all probably be grateful that Modell moved the team. Belichick was starting to build something there before the distractions and mess with the move ruined it all.

The lack of recent playoff success is also because of Ben .

They have tried to by drafting a stud RB, and signing some OL in free agency, where they draft every year all the stud OL are gone by then. You can criticize them if you want for not trading up to get a stud on the OL.

This statement is certainly fair - I know I gave Colbert and Tomlin the benefit of the doubt in drafting Harris before having a line in front of him because of the strategy they were employing with Ben staying on for one more year. Still, that was a year after the edict to fix the running game had been handed down, Green appears to have been a mistake (more so at center; TBD at guard), and after another offseason they're still struggling to re-establish the run.

When they drafted Najee there was a run on the good offensive tackles, any OL they drafted there would've been a reach, they don't want to be the Raiders and reach for Leatherwood in the first round.

No idea. Generalizing based on single games is pretty irrelevant.

There has to be a good number of samples in order to average things out and make a generalization - like looking at multiple seasons over 20+ games.

The front office let o line go to crap with no high draft picks over a series of years. O line is a dumpster fire and they never took a real qb don’t even tell me Rudolph had a chance of being great. Now we spend a fortune on a d that can’t stop run when they know it’s coming in a offense driven league. We will bottom out this year and next and I hope we get some
O lineman and d lineman. Kenny o could be the man and we have to find out during this season so we may have to take a qb when we go 4-13

This years end was sealed when we had most expensive defense in league that is average and a offense run by a amateur that struggles to score 14 points a game.

The GM who built this team is already gone and much of the senior staff turned over this year. So even if they are to blame, they’re gone.

Khan is pretty much a contract guy. I don’t think he’s ever had much to do with assessing talent.

The 2018-19 drafts are killing the team, they got nothing really from those two drafts apart from Johnson, albeit Chuks is finally contributing now as well. You can’t have two stinker drafts in a row when you already have an ageing team.

The trade up for Bush was a horrible decision in 2019, even if he was good they didn’t have the roster depth to give up those picks for him.

There are a good number of samples, the slow starts by the offense in the playoffs, and too many turnovers.
